"I think you scared
Jason away with your
good looks,"
and laughed airily.
"Just wanted to say hi!"

then saw how you were
standing awkwardly,
"Do you wanna sit down?"
"Sure," you grinned
infectiously.
You sat down next to her
and suddenly realized how close
you were to her.
You scooted over,
leaving about a foot
of space between
the both of you.
And you didn't
notice it,
but her smile
slightly drooped.
