Ava's P.O.V

Help, help, help, help, that's all I could think as I started speed walking away from him.

"Come on, babe. I just want to talk." I heard him say as I pushed the school door open, I glanced back at my annoying psycho of an ex boyfriend. Scoffing as he pouted at me, I turned back to look in front of me, gasping as I tried to stop myself from falling on the stairs. I sighed in relief when I felt someone's hands grabbing me, stopping me from hitting the cement steps. "Thanks." I told the mystery person as I looked up, shocked to see Theo Raeken holding me up.

I pulled myself out of his grip, "Uh thanks again." I mumbled before trying to rush off, an all too familiar hand grabbing my wrist, "Andrew." I warned, trying to pull my wrist away, stopping when his grip tightened. "Let go of me." I ordered, looking at him with pleading eyes, "Go on a date with me." He bargained, I shook my head in an instant, "We tried that already, jerk." I snapped at him. His face getting redder by the second, a voice cut us off from our back and forth nasty looks.

"Man, I'm pretty sure she told you to let go." Theo spoke up, glaring at Andrew, he sighed before tossing my wrist out of his grip, I gently held it in my other hand as it instantly started to turn red. Andrew gave me a warning look before making his way to his car. Theo looked over to me, getting ready to speak but closing his mouth as I rushed off, seeking some sense of comfort in my car. I started the car instantly, driving off as soon as possible, embarrassment rushing through me as I realized everyone watched that confrontation.

"Why me?!" I shouted slamming my steering wheel as I sat in my driveway, no one except my brother being home, I wiped at my face quickly and collected myself before exiting my car. I took a deep breath as I opened the front door, subconsciously pulling my sleeve down in an attempt to cover my wrist. "Oh." I mumbled seeing Scott standing in my kitchen, "I thought Stiles was home." I added on to him as I became less nervous. "He went to get pizza." He told me after he finished chugging half a water bottle.

"Ooh pizza." I laughed, trying to push myself up to sit on the counter, groaning and grabbing my wrist as pain shot through it from the pressure. "What happened?" Scott asked moving my hand to see my wrist, I bit my lip not wanting to answer, "Ava." He sighed, grabbing an ice pack to put on it, "Fine," I sighed as he stared me down, "Andrew grabbed it when I was trying to leave school and kept squeezing it more and more until Theo made him let go." I explained, my heart beating rapidly in my chest at the thought, "Theo?" He asked, his eyebrows raised. I nodded in agreement, "Theo." I mumbled.

"You can't tell Stiles." I said, grabbing my stuff as I heard my brother pulling up outside, "Okay?" I asked, he pinched the bridge of his nose, "Fine." He agreed and I smiled before rushing upstairs. Shutting my bedroom door just as I heard Stiles walking in the house.

"Ava, pizza!" Stiles shouted, "Coming!" I responded, quickly changing into something more comfortable, making sure the sleeves covered my wrist before I walked out of my room.

I hummed in appreciation as I took a piece of pizza, placing it on my plate. "So how was your photography class?" Stiles asked with a mouthful of pizza, I threw an ice cube from my cup at him, "Don't talk with your mouth full." I scolded my older brother, "And it was really good." I answered, laughing as he struggled to get the ice cube out from his shirt.

"Scott, are you staying the night?" I asked as I threw away our paper plates from the pizza, "Yeah, I guess." He shrugged, I smiled in response, "Okay." I added on. "I'll be in my room." I told both of them, trudging upstairs. I laid back on my bed, unlocking my phone to text Lydia.

Hey, do you happen to have Theo Raeken's phone number?

I laid there nervously, Lydia has everyone's phone number, why am I so nervous that she won't have his?

Lydia: yes I do, why?

Well I just need to talk to him about something.

Lydia: like what?

Lydia, can I just have the number please?

Lydia: fine..

I sat up when my phone dinged, signaling she had sent me the number, I saved it. I took a deep breath as I opened a new message with it.

Is this Theo Raeken's number?

I sent the message, my face flushing as I realized how creepy that sounded.

Theo: it is, yeah. Who's this?

It's Ava, I just wanted to thank you for everything earlier, I'm not sure how much longer it would've taken for him to just end up breaking my wrist.

I stood up, walking around my bed multiple times before I got a response.

Theo: no problem

That's it? Wow, what a guy.

well, okay that's all, goodnight I guess.

I watched my screen as he instantly read it, but didn't reply. I shrieked, jumping up when my bedroom door swung open, "Stiles! Don't do that!" I almost shouted at him, my hand going to my chest as my heart raced. "Why didn't you tell me?" He asked, pulling my sleeve down to reveal my partially bruised wrist. I glared at Scott who was standing sheepishly in my bedroom doorway. "You said you wouldn't tell him." I mumbled not daring to look at Scott again. "I'm gonna kill him." Stiles snapped as he paced in my room.

"Calm down, Stiles. I'm fine." I sighed, rubbing gently over the mark. "Stiles, drop it. Please." I added on, placing my hand on his shoulder, I smiled softly, "I am fine. I promise." I assured him, I saw his eyes soften, he nodded. "Tell me if he ever touches you again." He ordered. I nodded as he kissed my forehead quickly. "Gross." I muttered as he walked out.

"I heard that!" He shouted from the hallway.
