Escaping

Lewis POV: 

Everyone met up in the Living room, where the zombie that Kim killed lay. We had about enough food to last a week, 2 if we're careful. We all snuck out to the garage, being as quiet as we could. We didn't want to alert the Walkers outside. That's what we call them. its easier to call them that. Most of us have seen The Walking Dead. I got into the drivers seat of Chris' car, and shut the door as quietly as I could. Duncan got into his van and then the others just went into a vehicle. I ended up with Chris, Zoey, Hannah and Simon while Duncan had Tom, Kim, Martyn Paul and Liam. we put all of the Supplies in Duncans Van. Paul started to open the garage door with the remote control.We were met with the horrors on the other side of that door, there were about 300 zombies....and they were looking at us...hungrily! I quickly called Duncan on my phone.

"What the bloody hell are we going to do?" He said before I even had chance to talk. "They're taking up the whole flipping road!" 

I didn't get time to reply = before Paul shouted to the Phone, "Drive through them, you'll hit lots and kill some!" 

"Copy that!" He said. I felt like someone in the movies. 

I wish this were a movie, then I could either turn away, or just turn it off! I turned on the engine and revved up the car, Lewis did the same. The whole street was silent as all the zombies turned to look at us, and some even started to stumble over! 

"3!" Said Hannah. 

"2!" Said Paul 

"1!" Said Martyn. 

"Gooooooo!!!!" Screamed Tom. 

I floored it and raced into the sea of zombies. I heard some sickening crunches, and wondered where they were coming from when I realised, they were coming from under my car. So! That's what crushing a zombie skull sounds like! 

We got to the end of the street of zombies, when the car started to make strange noises. 

"Lewis, What the hell was that?" Zoey asked.

"That, Zoey, was the sound of Chris' car breaking down, in the middle of a zombie apocalypse!" I replied. 

"What???" Came Duncan's voice, through my Phone. 

I Suddenly had an idea. 

"Duncan, when you get close to our car, open the sliding door." I ordered. 

"Okay, On your head be it!" Came his reply. 

Duncan's Van came speeding out of the hoard of zombies, and came to a stop next to us. Me, Zoey, Chris, Hannah and Simon got out of Chris' car and ran to the van, where Tom and Martyn was calling to us. Hannah got there first, but ran back to help Simon as he is a slow runner. Chris and I got there, we just turned around to look where Zoey was , when a scream pierced the air. 

Zoey was running towards the zombies, just before she got to them, she turned and mouthed, 'I'm sorry' 

"Zoey!!!" Screamed Liam. 

I covered my eyes as I watch my friend disappear under a mountain of zombies. I got in the car and we drove away, tears running down our faces, in silence, remembrance, for Zoey Proasheck, the bravest woman that I have ever met. She will never be forgotten, she died so we could get away... Thank you.....
