~ Ryder's P.O.V ~
"I knew you'd come running back." Jonah said walking around me "Was Michael not treating you right?" He chuckled before resting his head on my shoulder.
I wanted so badly to turn around and punch him in the face but I knew I couldn't. His arms wrapped around my waist causing me to slightly tense up. I put on a fake smile before slightly turning my head so I was looking in his eyes
"Let's not talk about him, tonight is about us." I said before kissing his lips causing Jonah to smirk
"That's what I like to hear." He turned me around so that my chest was now pressed against his.
'You're doing great, Ryder. Just calm down and act like everything is okay.' I heard Ruby say into the ear piece. I was so relieved when Ruby told me that she would be following us at all times and gave me an ear piece so she could communicate with me. I slowly relaxed in Jonah's hold before pulling away from the kiss lightly smirking. Jonah wrapped his arms tighter around me before trailing kisses from my jaw to my neck.
'Just relax, just imagine it's me and not him' Ruby smoothly stated
'She's my wife Ruby.' I heard Michael growl in the background
'That's not what she was saying last night.' Ruby deeply chuckled
"What was that?" Jonah asked pulling away from me causing me to tense up at the fact that he heard them talking through the earpiece
"I was humming." Jonah raised an eyebrow before shaking it off and grabbing my hands and leading me into the restaurant. We were quickly seated by some random woman who looked to be in her late forties who wouldn't stop trying to touch Jonah every chance she got.
"What will you be having handsom?" She placed her hand on his arm with a huge smirk on her face.
"The steak and mashed potatoes with asparagus and a glass of your finest red wine" He spoke not even looking at the menu before handing it to her and giving her a smirk.
"Great choice" She swooned before her smile dropped and she gave me a hard glare "and you?" She asked showing no interest at all
"I will have the chicken Alfredo with a glass of red wine and a male waiter, thank you." I gave her a fake smile to which she just raised an eyebrow
"I'm your waitress for this evening, ma'am" She challenged
"Yes but I would prefer to eat my meal in peace and not watch a waiter who looks like she could be my mother flirt with someone half her age. So please stop embarrassing yourself and get us a male waiter." I smiled handing her my menu
"But..." I cut her off
"You're excused." I carelessly shooed her away. She looked over at Jonah for him to say something but he just waves his hand for her to leave
'I love it when you take charge.' I heard Ruby say causing me to chuckle and Jonah to raise an eyebrow
