A sound echoed through the hall, the sound that seemed so unfamiliar, yet familiar to me. My pupils dilated as I felt blood pour out my teeth. I fell to the ground listening to a laugh of a ghost. I touched where my stomach would be. . . blood. But, it wasn't her blood, it was mine.
"Dammit." Is all I could think of as it faded to black. I killed nearly everyone, yet I still failed. My head turned to look at the ghost of my brother. Instead of disappointed like I expected, I met a still determined expression from him. He smiled as he pointed to an open void. . . a portal. The portal seemed to lead to a different world like my own, except there was more monsters.
"WE STILL HAVE A CHANCE BROTHER!" My brother rejoiced happily. I smiled as I headed towards the portal, pulling my hood back over my head. Yes, we still had a chance.
