Emma's POV

Two Weeks Later...

We were now heading back to the United States after spending two weeks in London. We went sight seeing and saw Buckingham Palace, Saint Minster Abbey, and Big Ben. But the things we did when we weren't sight seeing were my favorite. But, all good things have to come to an end. But I wasn't complaining. I still had to see the new house Killian had bought. He was remodeling and putting furniture in, but I hadn't seen the finished product yet. I ended up falling asleep on the way back. But Killian was right next to me. I didn't have to worry about having to fall asleep next to some stranger.

Killian's POV

I watched Emma sleep and it was like watching an angel sleep. I was awake the entire flight, but it didn't bother me. I was too excited to show Emma the house. I had been redecorating and painting to make it our dream home. I knew she was going to be surprised and love it.

Once the plane landed, I woke Emma up and we got our luggage. She slept the whole way back to our new house. I hoped that she would sleep the entire way and until morning, that way she would be completely surprised when she woke up in the morning. But, as soon as the car pulled into the driveway, she started to stir.

"Are we back?" She asked with a yawn.

"Aye, love. We're home."

I got out and went to her side and opened the door for her. She stepped out and I swept her off her feet. She yelped in surprise and giggled. I walked up the steps and unlocked the door and carried her inside. She gasped and looked around.

"It's beautiful!" She shouted excitedly.

"Are you happy with how it looks?" I asked.

"Yes!" She turned to me and kissed me passionately. "But I'd really like to see what the bedroom looks like," she smirked and I carried her upstairs and placed her on the bed.

After we finished with our "activities," Emma went into the bathroom to take a shower while I went to start dinner. Tomorrow, we were going to visit the adoption agency in town and see if we can get a child. It was going to be a slow process, but I was hopeful. There was already a bedroom set up for our son or daughter, and all we needed was for someone to live in it.

I put the chicken in the oven and started the mashed potatoes on the stove. It was weird living in a house after being in the apartment for so long. All of our stuff had been moved here, and it was like having a fresh start.

Emma's POV

The bathroom was huge! There was so much more space and the bathtub had jacuzzi jets! The bedroom was comfy and had more than enough space. Being in the foster system my whole life, meant that I had to share with other kids. I didn't even have my own drawer in the bathroom at the homes. But now, living my life with Killian was more than amazing. He was an amazing friend and boyfriend, and I knew he was going to be the perfect husband and father.

I had to admit though, moving out of the apartment was a little hard for me. Killian and I had so many memories there. Not to mention that that was where I first met him. We shared our first kiss there and slept together for the first time there. We said our 'I love you's' and even got robbed. It was a big adventure, and I knew that it wasn't going to end anytime soon.

I turned the water off in the shower and wrapped myself up in a fluffy towel. I couldn't see my reflection in the mirror because of the steam, but it didn't bother me. I don't think anything could kill my happy mood right now. I was excited to go to the adoption agency tomorrow and fill out forms to get a child. I wanted a teenager, just so some kid would know that happiness was possible for them. I wanted to give him or her hope. Something that I didn't even believe in when I was a teenager. But, maybe as time goes on, Killian and I could adopt a baby. I wanted to spread as much joy as I can.

After getting dressed I went downstairs to find Killian in front of the stove. He only wore sweatpants, but looked incredibly cute. And that was only the backside. The muscles in his back would move under his skin as me moved, and I bit my lip. I silently walked over to him and wrapped my arms around his waist and laid my head on his shoulder.

"Smells good," I stated as I watched him stir the mashed potatoes.

"Thank you, love," he said and kissed the top of my head. Killian's phone ringing interrupted the peace and quiet. I let go of him so he could get it, but he didn't make an attempt to grab it. Instead, he spun himself around and pinned me to the opposite counter.

"Your phone's ringing," I mumbled as he stared at me with those beautiful blue eyes of his.

"Thanks for pointing out the obvious, darling," he playfully rolled his eyes and then pressed his lips to mine. I moaned in surprise but pushed on his chest. He pulled away and cocked his head to the side. "Is something wrong?"

"It could be someone important." I slipped from his arms but he grabbed my wrist and pulled me back to his body.

"Leave it." The ringing stopped and he cocked his eyebrow at me. He tried to kiss me again, but the phone rang again. "Bloody hell." He walked over to his phone and answered it. "What's wrong, Mary Margaret?" There were a few beats of silence before he spoke again. "We'll be right there." He hung up and turned the stove and oven off. He ran upstairs with me close on his trail.

"Killian? What's wrong?" I asked from the doorway.

He threw me my red leather jacket as he buckled his belt. "It's David. He's been in an accident."
