Emma's POV

Does he really think that I was just going to sit around and do nothing? When my baby girl was out, running around with no one by her side? She's a teenager. Who knows what could happen to her! With all of the bad people in the world, some of them wouldn't waste a single second on getting their hands on her. I've been a bailbonds person for a long time now. I know how to find people. Mostly over the Internet and such, but, tracking someone in real life couldn't be much different, right?

I hopped in my car and went to the nearest bridge. When people run away and hide from another person, they tend to go to a place where no one would think to look, or a place where they can easily get hidden and blend in with the crowd. I spent the next few hours trying to find Ally, but I just couldn't. I wasn't going to give up though. I decided to stop at a nearby fast food restaurant and get a coffee to help wake me up. It was still early in the pregnancy. It wouldn't harm the baby.

As I waited in line, I heard the jingle of the bell above the door ring. From a force of habit, I looked over, instantly regretting it. Graham walked in. His eyes immediately finding mine. He walked over to me and cleared his throat.

"Emma, hey."

"Hi, Graham."

"What are you doing here?"

"Getting some coffee."

He nodded. "I was driving by and I saw your car. I just wanted to see how you were doing."

"This actually isn't a good time. I'm looking for someone."

"Who? Maybe I can help you? You know, I'm really good at finding the physical evidence."

My number was called and I grabbed my coffee, nodding my thanks to the woman as I took it. "I don't know. That would be kinda weird, don't you think?"

"I'm not going to do anything." He held his hands up in surrender. "I'm sure your boyfriend would beat me to a pulp if I did."

I chuckled, "you're right about that. Especially now that I'm his wife."

"Oh. You're married?"

"Yes, I am. Now, are you going to help me or not?"

"Lead the way." He opened the door for me and we went out to my car. I got in on the driver's side while he got in on the passenger's side. "Who are we looking for exactly?"

"My daughter. She's thirteen, has-"

"You have a daughter too?"

"Well, she's adopted, but yes. She ran away when she heard that I was pregnant, thinking that we would give her up and-"

"You're pregnant too?"

"Yes, Graham. Pay attention. Anyway, she thinks that Killian and I don't want her but we do and everyone we know is trying to find her."

Graham took a deep breath, and took a moment to process all of the information I had just given him. It was a lot to take in, but, I doubt he even cared. It was more like a shock than anything. "Alright. Any idea where you think she could be?"

"If I knew, do you think I'd be desperate enough to ask you for help?"

"Fair enough," he laughed. "Think of something. Anything that you think she would like to do. Anything that she's told you that she likes to go when she's conflicted."

I leaned back in the seat, and brought my hand up to my face, pinching the bridge of my nose. I closed my eyes and tried to think.

"I've always found cliffs or hillsides as my favorite place to think or clear my head. It's relaxing to see the lights of the city, while I'm miles from it and all the noise."

I started the car and pulled out of the parking lot as fast as I could, jerking so much that my seatbelt caught and choked me.

"Where are we going? Did you think of something?" Graham asked beside me.

"She likes cliffs and hillsides."

"Cricket Hill? You plan to drive all the way up there? It will take you at least forty five minutes."

"Well it would be faster if I could fly, but I don't see either of us sprouting wings." Graham sighed and I could tell he was becoming frustrated. But, he didn't have to come along with me. He could always get out and walk back to the fast food place. The forty five minute drive turned into thirty minutes. I may or may not have been speeding the whole time. Oops? I got out of the car and saw a person swinging their legs on the side. That person, was a girl with curly brown hair. I smiled widely. "Ally?" I asked, still not believing my eyes.

She turned around and it was really her. "How did you find me?" She asked, but made no movement to stand up or run away.

"I had a little help. But that's not important. What's important is that I'm going to bring you home."

"I'm surprised you even came looking for me."

"I wasn't supposed to, but I did anyway. I couldn't stand the thought of letting you out here by yourself. I couldn't live with myself if you got hurt."

She looked over at me with tears in her eyes. "You really care about me?"

"Of course I do!" I sat down beside her and hugged her. "Killian and I have a whole search team looking for you. So, will you come home?"

"Everything you said, it really wasn't a lie?"

I shook my head and sniffed. "Of course not."

"Alright." She smiled, "Then let's go."

We got back to my car and I dropped Graham off at the fast food place to pick up his car. "Thank you for helping me today. I'm not sure what I would do if you hadn't."

"It was my pleasure, Emma. It was good seeing you again. Now, I have to go. My girlfriend is waiting for me."

It took me by surprise. Was he cheating on her too? Just like he had done with me? "What's her name?"

"Anastasia."

I laughed, "I wish her the best of luck with you." I got back in my car and started the drive home.

"Who was that?" Ally asked.

I glanced at her and smiled. "An ex. He helped me find you. Don't tell Killian."

She laughed, "I won't."

We didn't say another word to each other as we drove home. We walked in together, finding Killian pacing the foyer. He looked up at us and smiled. He brought us both in for a hug, and we hugged him back just as tightly as he was holding onto us.

"You're okay! And you're together!" He whispered in my ear, but loud enough for both of us to hear.

"Yes, now, if you don't let go, you are going to crush my ribs."

He let up his grip, but didn't let us go, "I love you. Both of you. I'm glad you're home."

I looked down to Ally and she looked up at me. We smiled at each other. "We love you too," I replied.
