The Bird Cage
The dove flew freely once
Above nations who were at peaceNow all the peace is drained
Leaving nations
To enlist men into any
To have armoury readyTo have a thousand lives prepare
For a thousand more lostAnd now the bird stays
Watching from its cage
Yearning for what seemsOnce possible
Now turned into ashesThe dove could only call
For a chance
To soar in the sky
Over the nationsWho were once happy
