it's funny how the world is
so enamoured with your position,
your positivity stings like a bee
everything is so flawed in this world
but you've been told
you're not.
shallow things have become your
companion in times humans cannot.
money, fame, views.
we crave the things that make us
feel more superior than you. the us
yesterday is still reeling in the
satisfaction of a higher status.
the us today is left chasing for more.
i need to stop going after these things.
if i don't want to hate myself,
then i should stop myself.
