Prompt 7: Write about Maine & Alden giving a compelling argument pushing the worst advice they've ever been given.

"Mr. Faulkerson, your grades in Calculus are really not meeting the cut off for you to be able to keep your scholarship. We are already halfway through our school year's third quarter, you really have to keep up. You are the school's MVP but you know that's not enough."
Mr. Ramirez said firmly. Chard ran his hand through his hair in frustration when he heard what his Calculus teacher just said. He just answered,
"I will do the best I can, Sir. Thank you for letting me know."

At their basketball practice at the university gym...
It's not that my dad couldn't afford to pay for my school tuition, but I just need that scholarship para sa college. (Smiled sadly)
Gilbert: Ay luhluhluhluh! Speaking of kras, Ches, may alam akong secret. (grinning at Chard like a lunatic)
Chester: Uy, ano yun? Spill!
Chard: Oy oy oy! Ano na naman yan, Gilbert? Nakakagago yang ngisi mo ah. Napaka chismoso mo!
Gilbert: Ches, see that girl? (Pointing at a girl sitting by the corner of the bleachers, tumingin naman si Ches) Yan ang kras ni Faulkerson!
Chester: Ahahahah! Yan ba?
Chard: Sige pagtawanan niyo, kokonyatan ko kayo!
Gilbert: See? Kras niya talaga yan, napaka protective eh noh. Hoy wag kang mag deny, Chard.
Pagkakataon mona to, Chardy Boy! Patulong kana sa kanya. Malay natin diba?
Chester: Sige na, bahala ka baka di mo ma meet yung cut off grade. No more scholarship, no more Ateneo, no more PBA. (Shaking his head)
Chard: Nahihiya ako, bro.
Gilbert (his face serious): Bro... Sometimes all you need is twenty seconds of insane courage, just literally twenty seconds of embarassing bravery. And I promise you, something great will come of it.
Chester: 😒😒😒
Chard: Lalim nun ah! Hoy, Chua! Niloloko mo bako? Ikaw yata ang may kras jan e. Grabe yung hugot mo oh.
Gilbert: Basta subukan mo nalang! At may tip ako sayo ha, mahilig daw magantsilyo yang si Maine.
Chard: Gantsilyo as in crochet?
Chester: Hindi, gantsilyo as in farming. Nakakabobo yang tanong mo, 'pre, e.
Chard: Pilosopo to. Sige na uwi nako. Kayo, ingat kayo sa pag uwi.
Gilbert: Yung words of wisdom ko ha... Think about it.

The next day...
Maine saw a yarn pom pom bouquet by the bleachers where she usually sits.

She looked around to see if somebody else was there, she saw no one

She looked around to see if somebody else was there, she saw no one.

The next day...
Maine was doing her homework for her Creative Writing class when she heard someone clear his throat. She turned and Chard is standing right behind her, holding a yarn bouquet.

He smiled awkwardly as he handed the yarn bouquet, blushing furiously

He smiled awkwardly as he handed the yarn bouquet, blushing furiously.
"Hi, Maine. This is for you." He flashed his bedimpled smile.
"Hi, Chard. The pom pom bouquet from yesterday, was that from you too?" She asked.
"Yes. I hope you liked it. The owner of the local yarn store was kind enough to teach me how to make the pom poms. It was a tedious thing to do, but it was definitely fun. And definitely worth it." He was blushing again.
"So you've met Ms Sacha. Ambait niya noh? Uy, thank you, for these. How'd you know my favorite color's yellow?" She raised her eyebrows, smiling shyly.
"I didn't. When I saw those shades they remind me of you, you surely can brighten up someone's day, Maine."
There goes that dimple again.
"Chard, I have something to ask. Sana wag kang magagalit. Kasi Mr. Ramirez is very concerned of your grade in Calculus, sayang naman daw if you would lose your scholarship kasi you are doing okay naman daw sa ibang subjects." Her expressive hazel eyes shows concern. He just nodded his head, embarassed.
"Well, if you like, I want to tutor you sa Calculus. Free!" She exclaimed.
How I love that sunshiny face! I could get used to seeing that beautiful face everyday.
He beamed, "Pwede ba? I mean, okay lang?" Rubbed his nape awkwardly, blushed furiously for the nth time.
She blushed in return and just smiled. Glancing at her yarn bouquet, she said to herself.
These will all be just for you, Richard. Soon...

A/N: This happened before prompt 9. I love how my drabbles are inter connected with each other. Pero I will still try my best to produce fresh and new storylines. Adulting is just getting in my way. The yarn bouquets are pretty, yeah? At isinigit kopa talaga yung sarili ko dito noh? Heheheh. Well, dream ko talaga magtayo ng craft store/coffee shop. Yung pwedeng tumambay dun yung customers after they buy their supplies, or they can just sit around and enjoy their coffee. Someday... Someday...
I would like to dedicate this chap to Ellendejesus
Thank you po, for appreciating my work. I'm still not confident with how I write, but your votes and comments truly keep me going. God bless you always! 💛😘
Chester and Gilbert are MaiChard fans too. It really feels nice to have someone to share the feels with. Of that, I'm sure! Heehee
Lastly, the song Hands by Jewel is for the victims of the recent Davao night market bombing. I truly hope and pray that we will win over this fight. "But in the end, only kindness matters."
Again, ctto for the photos. Just grabbed them from Google.
Thank you for reading. 😘😘😘
