"Okay Mr. Mermaid, I have a few questions for you to answer, and you must be honest with every answer or I'll give you a just punishment, okay?" The ocean dweller cheerfully smiled at his capturer, seemingly not at all disturbed by the sadistic smirk decorated on his lips with ill intent, "YOSH!"

Law didn't even bother asking what he meant by that and continued with his...questions.

"State your full name"

"Monkey D. Luffy!" So the mermaid was a D. as well, how interesting, Law might want to look at that another time.

"Age"

"I'm nineteen years old!" Wow, he didn't look it, but the captain decided not to doubt him.

"Height"

"No idea! Shishi~"

Law decided that answer wasn't really important for now and just went with the next one, "your weight"

"..None of your business"

The pirate was a little drawn back from the mermaid's sudden sensitivity on the topic but continued to shrug it off, not like he could weigh the ocean dweller without taking him from the water, even though the kid seemed fine when he crash landed back then, Law didn't want to risk anything.

"Place of birth"

"Thousand Sunny cove!" Never heard of it, but most places under the sea were out of mankind's reach anyway.

"Diet"

"MEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAATTT!!!" Sparkles appeared in Luffy's eyes and Law just sweat dropped at the reaction.

"Family tree"

Luffy's smile faltered and Law took immediate notice in the change in atmosphere when he didn't answer immediately.

Luffy's POV

'Should I tell him?' I know he's not a bad guy but red ossan told me not to tell anyone about my parents...but I can't lie to someone who calls the ocean-me, home..

Taking a small peek at his silver eyes, I suddenly felt a small pull in my chest, something telling me that it was all okay.

Normal POV

The mermaid sighed as if he was finally broken after a brutal interrogation.

"I have two siblings, one is 'Dragon-claw' Sabo, the protecter of the cold ocean's, and 'Fire-fist' Ace the protecter of the hot oceans, my...my dad is...the god of the deep sea, while my mom is the goddess of small tides.."

"WHAT!?"

For the first time since his childhood, Law felt completely and utterly shocked, actually tearing off that emotionless poker face of his and showing Luffy his actual expression.

Luffy though, felt better after confessing to the pirate, almost as if an invisible weight was lifted off his chest.

"Wh-what are you exactly!?" Law cussed, regretting stuttering in front of the boy as the mermaid started to giggle at the man's amusing antics, growing louder as he became more comfortable and bold with each second that passed, "I'm the reincarnation of the ocean"

Poor Law was now struggling with trying to keep himself from choking on his own breath, simultaneously trying to regain control and composure over himself, "you're what!?"

Now the mermaid started to giggle uncontrollably, "I'm the ocean silly!" The prince chimed in a playful tone, "YOUR HIGHNESS!"

Luffy stiffened at the almost hysterical shout, "uh oh" he mumbled in nervousness.

Law was confused with what could be bothering the sea creature until he spotted the rare flat headed flounder he caught a few weeks ago, currently swimming up to the mermaid at what seemed to be it's top speed.

"Hey red ossan" Luffy nervously giggled, "HOW COULD YOU TELL THAT FILTHY PIRATE EVERYTHING I TOLD YOU NOT TO!?"

The sea prince flinched at his harsh tone, "He's not a bad guy, I told you that earlier" the old timer tisked in frustration, "...I guess you're right"

Luffy smiled at the fish, happy that he diverted a possible scolding, he's already had enough of that with Nami.

The two then heard a loud fake cough beyond the glass and remembered of the medical worker's presence, they almost forgot about him.

"..So you can talk to fish?" Luffy rushed towards the glass and eagerly pressed his palms to the see-through wall.

"Mhm! I can understand anything that calls me home!" Law was quickly reminded about that new discovery, "so....you're really the ocean then?.."

Luffy vigorously nodded his head and practically beamed, "YEP!" The surgeon just couldn't help but feel a bit-actually A LOT guilty for imprisoning THE OCEAN.

Law's POV

'This isn't good, no no, crap, I made such a big mistake, if I've taken him from the sea who knows what might happen? Shit, I've kidnapped the ocean, damn, damn, damn, I need to calm down and assess the situation properly, crap'

I continued to rant on at myself in my mind, when a sudden thought busted though my self loathing.

"Wait a minute, does this have something to do with all those pissed off sea kings that attacked us out of the blue today?"

The adorable mermaid just shrugged his shoulders with a cute look on his face...wait..WHAT DID I JUST SAY!?

Well..I had to admit, the mermaid did hold some charms and a certain allure in his personality, more bubbles started to leave the flounder and Luffy-ya's eyes shot wide open.

"WHAT!? REALLY!?"

I wondered what got the cute boy so worked up, "what did he say?"

Luffy-ya bit his lip and looked down with a sorry, guilty look on his face "When I was taken from the sea all the creatures that live in there knew I was away, now that I'm gone they are all really pissed that I'm not there to protect them"

I frowned, 'that would explain a few things' I bitterly voiced in my mind, "well if you think I'm gonna let you go just because of that, then you're so very wrong" he looked at me with a suprised and confused look on his features.

Although I couldn't help but smirk at his cuteness, "I'm gonna be keeping you, whether they like it or not..you're mine now"

I felt a new possessiveness wave over me as I stared at my elegant mermaid, 'He's beautiful, and he's all mine' my ego took a huge boost at the thought of owning the sea *chuckles*

"Anyway Luffy-ya, got anything more about yourself I should know?"

The innocent mermaid just thought before he seeme to have remembered something else, "Oh! I can let other people be able to breathe underwater or even turn them into mermaids too, like how I can turn into a human!"

I blinked, already getting used to the fact that nothing he was a part of was normal I just scribbled it down into my recordings, placing a mental note in my brain to place a lock atop the cover of the tank in case he ever tries to make a break for it.

As I was just about to leave I heard his tiny voice call out, "wait!" I turned around to face the young mermaid and sighed, "*sigh* look Luffy-ya, as much as I want to exploit you, I need to get some rest, I'm exhausted" I blushed after realizing how bad that sounded, "but I wanna know more about you, what's your name at least?"

After a bit of thinking I decided to just leave only saying one thing, "my name is Trafalgar D. Water Law"
