"In loving memory of Timothy White, our librarian, please say grace and stay strong."

The librarian's office was now locked and prohibited. Yuu stood solemn on the other side of the door, unused to depression. Yes. For the first time in his life, he felt depression.

Not over his own life. But for another's. He could be murdered the happiest man alive, but be eaten by depression for another being.

Two weeks after the discovery of his passing, every time he thought of him it felt like the first.

The smell of apples and cinnamon now brought his heart to ache.

And Saint had not once shown his face in the building since.

Mid-November brought an ankle-deep sheet of snow.

It also brought the opportunity for Mika to take Yuu out in the white wonderland for appeasement. They'd share a roll-up on the playground, throw rocks at the birds amongst the sky, listen to the stereo in the truck while mellowing in the depressing season. Kisses were needed to spark the dull atmospheres of their adolescent minds.

Kissing in the snow brought wandering eyes. Watering eyes.

Gray eyes with cuts.

A note that tumbled from Yuu's locker before Thanksgiving break.

Words Yuu always dreaded hearing:

"I've got a job tonight," Mika murmured to Yuu as the boy rested on his chest. He could hear the disappointment in his breathing pattern as he stroked his fingers through his hair.

Yuu clutched tight with small fingers onto Mika's bicep. "Don't go..."

"Or we could starve."

"Steal."

"Haha..."

Yuu inched up to fit the tall silhouette of his lover, gazing into the blue skies of his eyes before pressing their lips together for a long moment of serenity. He could've drifted off in their kiss, melting in Mika's warmth and his scent.

"Is this a convincing mechanism to get me to stay?" murmured the blond as Yuu parted their lips.

"Partially..." A smile tugged at the corner of Yuu's pink lips at his next words. "I just wanna see how long you can tolerate me kissing you before not getting weirded out by it anymore."

"Oh, lord, here we go," Mika groaned as he sat up on the mattress. He stretched his back, Yuu subconsciously tracing his fingers over the welded scars. Each one - a story.

He sat behind the blond on his knees, bowing down to kiss along every inch of scars he could see. His soft tiny hands held Mika close, his fingers lovingly digging into his defined hipbones.

All mine...

"I wanna run away." Whispered the smaller boy. "With you..."

"You got running away money?" Mika joked.

Yuu playfully punched the blond's shoulder with a chuckle, rolling his eyes as he sat back. "And to think you asked me to teach you romance."
