Mallory Hamilton has always wanted to be like her brothers, Dougie and Freddie. She always dreamed to play in the NHL, but she knew it was just a silly dream. Being in a family full of athletes, Mallory believes that someday she can be the first female to ever play in the National Hockey League.
One day, she gets a call from Patrick Roy, the head coach of the Colorado Avalanche, telling her that he wants to see if Mallory has what it takes to play in the NHL. Without hesitation, she accepts and jumps on the next plane to Denver, Colorado.
