Manan SS: An Unexpected Turn

Chapter 1

Mumbai, apartment

In the evening, Nandini unpacked her luggage and arranged it properly. She was engrossed in her work when the doorbell rang. She moved towards living room and opened the door. A girl was standing in the door with her luggage.
Nandini: Yes?
Girl: Hii.. I am Navya Naveli.
Nandini: Oh! Hii.. I am Nandini Murthy. Please come.
Navya entered with her luggage and sat on the couch. Nandini brought water for her. She also settled on opposite cusion.
Nandini: I will introduce myself. I am Nandini Murthy. I am from Mumbai. I am a music student and I am here to learn music from Space Academy.
Navya: Hii. I am Navya Naveli. I am from Patna but from last year i am in Lonavala. I am also a music student in Space Academy.
Nandini: Thank god! I was nervous that who will be my roomate and how I Will manage here alone but now I am happy that you are with me.
Navya: Arre Nandu...Don't worry.. Hum hain na tumhare saath. Dekhna hum dono milke bohot majje karenge... Gharme bhi aur college main bhi. Sorry wo jada hi bol diya. Hum tumhe Nandu bula sakte hain na?
Nandini: Ha Navya. Ab to tum meri dost ho. So tum mujhe Nandu bula sakti ho.
Navya: Thank you Nandu..Yo!
Nandini laughed seeing Navya's unique style and did the same with her. After chit chatting for sometime, they decided to meet after half n hour. Navya left to freshen up and Nandini moved towards kitchen to prepare dinner.
Half n hour later Navya came in the kitchen after taking shower. She was wearing shorts and top like Nandini.
Navya: Kya bana rahi ho? Hum kuch help karde?
Nandini: Pasta bana rahi hu. Sorry wo maine tumhe puchha nahi. Tumhe pasta pasand hain na?
Navya: Arre sorry mat bolo. Mujhe pasta pasand hain. Main table arrange karti hun. Tum jaldi se pasta leke aao. Bohot bhuk lagi hain.
Nandini: Ha abhi aati hun. I am almost done.
Navya left to arrange dinning table. Nandini came after 5 minutes and served pasta in two plates. Both sat on chairs and started eating. After lots of talking and laughing both finished their dinner. They talked for some more time while cleaning utensils and left for sleeping after exchanging good nights as both were tired.

Next day, morning
Nandini woke up due to constant ringing of her phone. She recieved the call and said sleepy voice.
Nandini: Good morning dad
Dad: Good morning Nandu. Kaisi hai meri bacchi? Nind to aai na acche se?
Nandini: Ha dad main achhi hun. Thodi tired thi so abhi uthi hun.
Dad: Thik h. Tum fresh ho jao main raat main call karunga. Bye bachha. take care.
Nandini: Bye dad. You also take care.
After finishing the call she got up and moved towards bathroom to frshen up.

In living room
After taking shower Nandini came in the living room. Navya was sitting there reading magazine.
Nandini: Good morning Navya
Navya: Good morning Nandu
Nandini: Itni jaldi uth gayi. Mujhe laga tum so rahi hogi.
Navya: Aakh jaldi khul gayi. Tum tea or coffee kya logi? Main bana deti hun.
Nandini: Nahi main banalungi. Tum coffee piogi?
Navya: Tum apne liye banalo. I just had tea.
Nandini: Thik hai. Breakfast Main kya banau?
Navya: Main omelet banati hun. Chalega?
Nandini: Chalega.
Both Nandini and Navya went in the kitchen and started preparing coffee and breakfast respectively. After finishing their work, they had their breakfast. They decided to visit nearby mall and left to get ready in their rooms respectively.

Navya's room
Navya was searching matching earings to wear with her dress when her phone started ringing. She picked up the call immediately.
Navya: Hello! Main tumhare hi phone ka wait kar rahi thi.
Person: Hello Navya! Maine kaha hain vesa hi karna.
Navya: Don't worry! Sab kuch plan ke according hi chal raha hain.
Person: Thik h. Ab main phone rakhta hun. Mall pohochte hi message karna. Bye.
Navya: Bye.

Screen freezes on Navya's determined face.

What is Navya upto? What is her motive? Is she helping the person to kill Nandini or something else?
