They ran as fast as they could down the yard. Taehyung could see the finish line in the distance but as he was halfway there he tripped up on his shoe laces. The boy fell on the hard grass, cutting his arm. At first, he felt okay but then he saw the blood rolling down his arm. His lip began to quiver just as Jungkook asked if he was okay.
Jungkook was two years older than Taehyung and a bit taller too, so when he pulled the crying boy into a hug, his chin sat in his hair. He rubbed circles on his back and whispered soothing words to stop him from crying.
After a while, Taehyung stopped crying and pulled away. "Thanks, Kookie." He said in between hiccups.
"Come on, your mom can fix the rest."
