Showdown in Pewter City

English season 1 opening:

Japanese season 1 opening(the first song,just listen to the first 1 the other ones are for season 2-5)

"Finally! We're out of that bug infested forest! It feels good to be free," Misty smiles.

"Wow! Look it's Pewter City!" Ash looks out in awe as he stands on a rock to get a better view.

"Man, I'm so tired. We have been walking for two days in that forest," Misty sighs, sitting down on the rock.

"Pewter City is gray the color of stone, but this city has always been made of stone," a weird homeless man creeps up beside them.

"Um, pardon me, but may I ask who you are?" Ash politely interrogates.

"My name's Flint, and by the way, you're resting on my merchandises," explains Flint.

"Huh? Oh!" Ash quickly gets off the rock, "Sorry! I didn't know! Oh, by the way, do you know where the Pokemon Center is?"

"Yeah, it's right over there," Flint points to a white building with a red roof.

"Thank y-" Misty starts.

"That will be two pokedollars for resting on my rock," Flint interrupts.

"Here...?" Ash confusedly hands over 2p.

At the pokemon center

"Can you please heal my friends. They're tired from walking," Ash requests.

"Uh...yeah!" Nurse Joy smiles.

"Thank you," Ash replies.

"Did you see the poster?" Nurse Joy questions.

"Poster?" Ash wonders.

"Yeah, right over there," Nurse Joy
points to a poster that showed a blue and black background with 8 badges on it. Above the badges in bold, yellow letters was "Pokemon League".

Ash and Misty both walk over to it.

"Pokemon League?" Ash mumbles to himself.

"Yeah. It's what most trainers do. They fight against gym leaders and get gym badges as proof for winning. You have to get eight of them to be able to enter the Pokemon League. Then you battle against other strong trainers to get to the top. And then if you win the Pokemon League, you get a trophy. You could stop right there or you could challenge the elite four and champion, and if you win you become the new Pokemon Champion! And there just so happens to be a gym leader in this town!"explains Misty.

"Really?!" Ash gasps.

"Yeah!" Misty grins.

"Can we go there?!" asks Ash.

"Yeah, once your pokemon get healed," Misty answers.

"Your pokemon are all better," Nurse Joy informs.

"YAY!" exclaims Ash as he runs to the counter.

With N and Zorua (they are watching Ash)

"Great...he's like every other trainer, all they care about is themselves they couldn't care less about the pokemon," N sarcastically grins.
