Chapter 5

Ring Ring...Ring Ring...

Logan held the phone to his ear hoping for Mike to pick up.

"Come on, come on." He said as he paced back and forth.

There was no answer, and Logan began to worry.

He can't still be mad at me can he?  Logan thought.

However, after a few more rings, someone did pick up.

"Hello?" Came the feminine voice that he recognized as Sherry.

"Sherry? Is Mike there?" Logan asked quickly.

"No, he's out with Jake. Father son day." Sherry answered.

"Oh, will you tell him that I want to talk to him?"

"He's still kind of salty about the other day." Sherry stated.

Logan sighed. "I know..."

There was silence on the other line for a few seconds.

"Logan, meet me at McDonald's in twenty minutes, ok?" Sherry asked.

"O-ok." Logan replied as She hang up.

~Twenty Minutes Later~

Logan arrived at the McDonald's and sat down. Sherry walked in and sat across from him. She had a concerned look on her face.

"Hey buddy, you look tired." She said in an extremely soft tone.

"Yeah, just a long week ahead of me." Logan stated.

Sherry sighed and looked at him. "I'm worried about you. You're getting into something dangerous, I can feel it."

"I don't think so. The new place is different." Logan argued.

"Logan, I'm worried about you." Sherry said. "This...Circus Baby's place is dangerous. Don't you know what happened there?"

"No, what happened?"

"A little girl was...killed by one of the animatronics. They say she was pulled inside of it and crushed." Sherry explained. "I think this may be a vengeful spirit."

"That's all the more reason I need to keep working there." Logan replied.

She placed her hand on his. "Logan, you're like a brother to me, and I don't want you to get hurt."

Logan paused for a few short moments and sighed. "I'm sorry, but I have to keep doing this."

"Then I'm going with you." Sherry stated.

Logan looked surprised. "W-what?!"

"I'm going to go with you to Circus Baby's this week." Sherry explained.

"Why?" Logan replied quickly.

"I'm going to make sure you don't get yourself killed."

Logan sighed. "Ok...I guess that's fine."

Sherry smiled. "Thank you."

~11:55 PM~

Logan and Sherry both stood in the elevator that descended into the depths of Circus Baby's. Neither of them was prepared for what was to come.
