JJ's POV

"Morgan," I said. I pulled him away from the crowd. "What's going on?"

"She's crying because this is her first New Years without her mom," said Morgan. "This is her first New Years with a single parent."

"Explains Rossi's disappearance," I said. "Where did Garcia go?"

"I don't think she even showed up," said Prentiss.

"She did," said Morgan examining a glass. "This is her lipstick."

"Where'd she go?" I asked.

"Who knows," said Hotch.

"Well, seems like Scarlett's turning in early," said Rossi.

"Let me talk to her," I said.

"You can try," said Rossi.

"Come on Prentiss," I said. We walked up to her room. "Scarlett?"

"Yeah?" asked Scarlett sniffling. "You can come in." Prentiss and I walked in and sat on her bed next to her. "Hey guys. Sorry to be a party crasher."

"Don't apologize," said Prentiss.

"Scarlett, I understand what you're going through and trust me when I say you're not alone," I said. "You're mother is watching over you at this moment and she's saying I'm here celebrating New Years with you."

"Really?" asked Scarlett smiling.

"Yeah and she would've been proud of the woman you've become," I said. "An intellegent woman and very sucessfull."

Prentiss' POV

"Yeah," I said. "Even so, I know she loves you."

"How?" asked Scarlett.

"Rossi can't keep a secret very well," I said.

"I'll tell you what," said JJ. "Why don't we just have a girls day tomorrow?"

"I can't I have some things to finish up at home but you two should go," I said. "Just go and have a blast."

"You sure?" asked Scarlett wiping her tears.

"Yeah," I said.

"Okay," said Scarlett.

"I'll see you later today," said JJ giving Scarlett a hug. "Call me and I'll come pick you up."

"Okay," said Scarlett. "Good night."

"Night," I said as we walked out of her room. "Where are you taking her?"

"I don't know," said JJ as we joined the others. "Okay."

"How is she?" asked Rossi.

"Better now," I said.

"She's going to have a girls day out with me tomorrow," said JJ.

"What are you going to do?" asked Rossi.

"I don't know," said JJ.

"She's your daughter, Rossi," I said. "What does she like to do?"

Hotch's POV

"Get her mind off things," I said.

"She's a gymnast and cheerleader," said Morgan.

"How do you know that?" asked Rossi.

"Well, she told me," said Morgan.

"What else?" asked JJ.

"Bowling," said Rossi. "She loves to bowl."

"When did she start bowling?" I asked.

"Fourteen," said Rossi.

"Let's hope your girls day doesn't get ruined by a case," I said.

"Don't jinx it," said JJ.

"Our kids are out," I said as I carried Cole. "It's time to go."

"Yeah," said JJ.

"See you at a next case," I said.
