Third Person POV

"I despise you." She said in a quiet tone, sharp enough to pierce one's very soul.

He rolled his eyes at her before responding." Don't feel so exclusive
darling, you're not the only one." He leaned against a tree, arms crossed.

She narrowed her eyes at him." I'd be thoroughly surprised if I was." She responded scathingly.

Unsurprisingly, (Y/N) and Peter were locked in another heated argument. Despite the fact that there were no spectators this time, the disagreement was just as intense, if not more so.

"I, for the life of me can't understand why you're so upset darling. What could I have possibly done to make you so perturbed?" He was mocking her.

"Well, existing for one thing." She shot back hotly.

He smirked." You're more snarky than usual today." He noted.

"As much as I appreciate your observations, there are still things for us to discuss." She responded. She refused to let him talk his way out of this one.

"Like what? I don't see anything else that needs to be discussed pertaining to the two of us. Nothing of great importance anyway." He added coldly.

She narrowed her eyes at him." I would've thought that feigning ignorance was beneath you. I guess that you learn something new everyday." She quipped.

"As I said before, I honestly have no idea what you are going on about." With that, he spun on his heel and began to walk away.

She scoffed." I never would've taken you for such a coward."

He stopped and slowly turned around." What?" He inquired. The nerve of her to imply something such as that!

She crossed her arms." So all it took for me to get you to listen was for me to bruise your overinflated ego?"

He ignored that assertion." What makes you think that you have the right to define me? Of all of the derogatory statements, you choose to deem me a coward?" He asked.

Peter Pan feared no man nor beast. He hadn't come across any feeling even remotely close to cowardice in a long time. At least, not in his own eyes.

"Is that not what you are? You may be able to put on this act for everyone else, but I see right through it. You're petrified! You hate the idea of seeming weak, yet you derive pleasure from making others feel the same exact way!" She rattled off angrily.

"I only bring light to what previously existed. I for one have no weaknesses of any kind, I can assure you of that." He responded levelly.

She slightly shook her head." Everyone has a weakness, and I know exactly what yours is."

He arched an eyebrow." And what might that be?" He asked with a tinge of humor.

She brushed past him and started off into the forest." I think we both know the answer to that now don't we?" She called over her shoulder, and he didn't even have to look to know that she was smirking.

He stared after her. What an intriguing girl. Intriguing indeed.
