§at the institute§

Afina's mother walked into the institute a confident yet strict atmosphere surrounding her as she walked up to Izzy

"Isabelle always dress to impress I see" Izzy looked down at her clothes keeping her emotions to herself "and you've been playing with the family heirlooms"

"Hi I'm Clary fray" Clary said trying to get some attention off of Izzy

"Clary Fairchild, you look just like your mother. We know all about you in Idris" she said scanning Clary with distaste

"Idris?" Clary asked confused before Izzy explained it to her before they both turned back to Izzys mother

"How's max?" Izzy noticed the confused look Clary gave her and explained it was her little brother

"Speaking of visiting the institute, where's Afina?" She asked and Izzy looked down knowing exactly where Afina was "no matter I need Jace right now anyway" with that her mother shoved past her to find Jace

§at the hotel§

"What are either of you doing here?"

Afina turned around to see Raphael "I came to talk to you, I don't know why he's here" she pointed at Simon who couldn't come up with anything

"You both should go" he said glancing more frequently at Afina "we don't need anyone to get hurt"

"No" Afina said crossing her arms before he rolled his eyes and turned to Simon

"What about you? Are you insane or an idiot? What are you after anyway" Raphael said now getting to the point with Simon who he was scaring

"To be honest I don't know" Simon said backing away from Raphael

"You can't think I want to save your worthless life again" Raphael said as he glanced at Afina who glared in return to the comment about her brother

"No I don't no" Simon kept backing away scared Raphael would do something to him

"Get out of here and don't come back" Simon took a hesitant look around before he looked at Raphael who bared his fangs at Simon which made him run away only stopping to get his sister who wouldn't leave so he kept running

Raphael rolled his eyes at the girl "what are you still doing here?"

"I don't know, I just wanted to talk to you" she said and Raphael looked at her

"Fine but not here lets go somewhere close the sun will be up soon" with that they both started walking to a separate building that was completely abandoned and Raphael looked at her again with his arms crossed waiting for her to talk

"I just wanted to say thanks again for what you did" Afina smiled

"It didn't mean anything, I just don't want to break the accords" he said and Afina couldn't help but feel a little hurt Raphael noticed the little hurt look and sighed "your welcome"

Afina smiled at him again before it went silent "but why are you really here?"

Afina sighed "I really don't know I just wanted to see you again, I like being around you more then my team which is saying a lot because they are my family and I barely know you"
