You are a memory

Afina woke up the next morning with Raphael gone and she rolled her eyes before she sat up looking around to see if he was in the room. He wasn't.

She got up from the bed and got dressed quickly looking at her phone to see if there was anything from anyone and there was a message from Raphael

"Went out. Don't worry took the tunnels"

Afina scoffed before She walked out of Raphaels room going to the tunnels that led to the institute and she quickly made her way through them

When she got there she discreetly made her way past Shadowhunters before she bumped into someone

She groaned realizing it was Izzy "Izzy" she stated

"Afina what are you doing here?" Izzy asked smiling lightly at her sister

"What are you doing here, aren't you supposed to be getting venom from Raphael?" Afina asked sarcastically rolling her eyes and Izzy sighed

"Afina-" Afina held up her hand looking behind Izzy to see Alec making her smile

"I have to go" she said pushing past Izzy to her brother

Afina ran up to her brother wrapping her arms around him

"What's with you?" Alec asked laughing as he set his sister down

"Just happy to see you" Afina smiled her dimples showing making Alec smile even brighter

"So what can I do?" Afina asked clapping her hands together "I need something to do till dark"

"Why till dark?" Alec asked moving his head to the side slightly

"I have stuff to do" Afina shrugged and Alec nodded before he started walking away with Afina following close behind

After helping around the institute Afina walked up to Alec letting him know she was going to leave because it was dark

When she reached her brother he looked frantic and worried making Afina worried as she stood in front of him

"Alec what's up?" She asked and he looked down at her seeing her worry

"Uh nothing, um it's dark are you going now?" He asked and Afina stared at him for a minute before nodding

"Ya I am, are you sure you're ok?" She asked and Alec nodded quickly before leaving to do whatever he was doing.

Afina watched her brother leave before shaking her head and walking out the front door of the institute

Afina walked down the streets looking into the window of a bar before stopping as she sees Raphael with the other down world leaders

She watched them talking and Afina wished she had her runes. She watched a little while longer until they all stood up some seeming angry and others annoyed

She hid herself in the shadows as the leaders passed and she watched Raphael as he stopped for a minute looking around until he reached in his pocket taking out something that Afina couldn't see
