The next night Afina and Raphael were laying in his bed while Raphael played with her hair calming her down before he stopped and sat up making Afina sit up as well

"Raphael what is it?" She asked grabbing his arm

"I have to go stay here" he demanded getting up from the bed only to have Afina follow after him "Afina I'm serious"

"And I just almost died I was stuck in here for awhile I'm going with you" she stated walking ahead of him so he couldn't argue

Raphael smirked to himself watching his girlfriend walk away from him before he caught up to her putting an arm around her waist

Afina didn't know what was wrong but she wanted to go with him anyway but slightly regretted her decision when she saw Izzy in the middle of a group of vampires

One of them was about to go after Izzy when Raphael stepped in pushing her away from Izzy making her stumble back

"Release the Shadowhunter my orders" Raphael said and the group of vampires quickly ran away obeying Raphael

"Izzy what the hell?" Afina asked and Izzy looked at her with a look Afina couldn't read before she collapsed into Raphaels arms making Afina glare slightly

Raphael grabbed Izzys hand as he saw it was shaking.

"I thought you hated me?" Izzy asked and Afina crossed her arms feeling helpless at the moment

"Call it an intense dislike" Raphael said

"So why are you helping me?" Izzy asked and Afina shifted her feet uncomfortably watching the scene unfold

"I don't know" he said before Izzy fell deeper into his arms and Raphael picked her up putting her on the hood of an old car

"The pain it's every where" Izzy said holding her side

"What'd you think the yin fen would do to you?" Raphael asked looking at Izzy with slight worry

"I need something, something to stop it" Izzy said her breathing becoming heavier

"No you need to sweat it out, you need to be strong" Raphael said

"I can't!" Izzy stated

"You have to" Raphael said before Izzy grabbed onto him

"I swear I'll never ask again" Izzy said and Afina looked at Raphael in disbelief knowing he was thinking about it

"Just this once" he said and Izzy nodded

"Raphael!" Afina shouted but he only ignored her before looking up at the sky

"Forgive me" he said before biting into her wrist and Afina gasped taking a step back before she quickly walked away from him and back to the hotel

She sat in the main room for awhile until Raphael came in sighing in relief when he found her

"Afina-" he breathed but she stood up cutting him off

"Don't" she said walking away and Raphael walked after her

"Afina I'm sorry she was weak!" He explained putting his arms out
