Happy 2017!! This is super late im so sorry. I've been super busy with midterms and stuff. But here it is. This is slightly angst and it's not really a songfic but if you listen to the song it'll help. Also kind of venting. And it's super short

Yuma and (Y/N) were like the ideal couple in middle school through high school. Except they were really just very close friends. Yuma was in love with (Y/N) and it seemed like everyone knew except her. They've been friends since they were young and were commonly mistaken for being a couple. It pained Yuma every time she said "No, we're just really close friends."
But he kept his love to himself. Loving her was normal for him, something he was so used to it wouldn't feel right if she wasn't there with him. He had made a variety of attempts to confess but in the end just felt like he should leave it alone.
They were in their 3rd year, and it was New Year's Eve. Their friends decided to have a party to celebrate their last New Years together before college. Of course Yuma and (Y/N) were invited being in the same class. Yuma had planned of confessing today but thought that he should enjoy their moments with their friends instead.

There was now 1 minute before the New Year began, every couple next to each other getting ready for their New Years kiss. While (Y/N) and Yuma made light conversations about college and school.
"Hey (Y/N)."

And with that Yuma placed his lips on (Y/N)'S for the first time. Something he had dreamed of his entire life. And so did (Y/N). She pulled away from him with her cheeks tinted red.
"I love you too Yuma."
And with that they became the ideal couple during their last year of high school. Everyone said that they were perfect for each other, a match made in heaven. Yuma loved the fact that he could now hold her, kiss her, and say that she was his.
Although they did fight occasionally, Yuma apologized every time even if it wasn't his fault, realizing that he loved her too much to fight with her. As their last year of high school started to end their relationship began to fall apart from lack of time. Then the one thing Yuma never wanted to hear was said.
"Yuma, I'm going to college in America. I'm leaving tomorrow." He couldn't believe what he had heard.
"N-No this can't be." He began to cry into his hands. He looked up and she was walking away. He tried to run after her, his knees buckled causing him to collapse on the ground. He called her name hoping she'd come running back to his arms where they could be together forever. He cried for what seemed like forever.

Now in Yuma's 8th and final year of college he still hadn't moved on from (Y/N). He was depressed after her leaving and couldn't bear to go into another a relationship. He still cried every time he remembered her name or what she looked like. He never knew that love could be this strong. He realized in that moment that he could never forget her. Maybe one day he'll find her. But right now he has to move on which seems impossible.
