the different kid - Brandon Rowland

today was the day you go back to school. you were on winter break.

you wake up to your mom banging pans in your room and yelling.

"wakey wakey!!" mom said.

"ughhh really mom, is the even necessary?" you said rubbing your eyes.

"im just happy your going back to school" mom said laughing.

"ohh yay let's have a party.." you said sarcastically and went to take a shower.

"breakfast is ready downstairs when your done getting ready kiddo" mom said smiling.

"okay thanks" you said.

you jumped into the shower and did your little morning routine.

after you were done, you picked out an outfit.

you picked out some black skinny jeans and a tan shirt that has the word "okay" on the side in white lettering.

then you straightened your hair and put on mascara and lip balm.

you grabbed your black converse and your backpack and went downstairs

after you were done you started walking to school.

and on the way there you saw hunters little brother and two other boys.

and they tripped hunters little brother.

the boys started running away and laughing at him.

you ran to the boy and helped him up.

"are you okay??" you said.

"yeah thanks. i didn't ask for your help" the boy said.

"oh okay.." you said and walked away sadly.

"hey, wait.. I didn't mean to.." he said and sighed.

he broke down crying.

"hey, hey it's okay.. please don't cry" you said.

you wiped off the tears off his face.

"it's just you don't understand. or you wouldn't care." he said.

"what do i not understand?" I asked.

"okay. don't tell anyone. only you, me and my family knows about this.." he said.

"i was diagnosed with type two diabetes last week." he said looking down.

"im so sorry.." you said and paused.

"Brandon.. my names Brandon" he said smiling.

"my names y/n" you said smiling.

"so.. umm.. i guess we are late.." I said laughing.

"ohh I didn't even wanna go to school today anyway" Brandon said laughing.

"let's go to the park to hang..??" Brandon said smiling.

"yeah let's do it!" you said smiling.
