She held his face and tilted it sideways as if checking if the man in front of her was real or if it was just a product of her imaginations and a representation of her subconscious desires.

Ethan held her on the wrists and laughed. "It's me."

She then frowned. Kanina lang naiinis sya dito for not calling her and now that he was standing in front of her, she was still irritated.

"Why the sudden cold treatment? I thought you were finally realizing that you miss me?"

She laughed with sarcasm. "Dapat ba may banda na sumalubong sayo? After mong lumayo sa amin, gusto mo yakap ang salubong namin sayo?"

"Well... Cali did. Yung sayo na lang ang kulang," he smiled. "Nice dance by the way."

"Ewan ko sayo," she answered, still mad at him for reasons she doesn't know. For reasons that do not exist.

"Cali? Wait, where is Cali?" she panicked.

"Relax," he said. "He's safe, okay. I stole him quickly from the dancing crowd."

"Where's my son?"

"I told you, he's okay. He's my son too, Love, so do not worry," he assured her.

"What do you have to say? Cali's hungry and I need you to get me out of this right away. The boy needs to eat," pagsusungit nya dito.

"I'm sorry, I don't think I can do that," he smiled.

"And why not?"

"I'm sorry it took me longer than expected but there wasn't a second that I wasn't thinking of you and Cali," he explained, he held both of her hands. "I did what I have to finish the fastest way I can."

They started dancing while the people around them were dancing too. He held her hand and spun her around. There was a soft and sweet music playing at the background and Ethan leaned closer to her ear and started humming. He still have her wrapped around his arms.

"I want to sing you an all time favorite," he said and cleared his throat. "I'm as happy as I can be, cause I'm allergic to tragedy..."

Raffy laughed. It was a song that Ethan sang to her a few years back. He was at that time at the peak of his basketball career and was getting multiple endorsements. He guested on one game show and she watched to support him. The host asked him to sing for her and that was what he sang for the audience and her.

"What? Don't laugh at me," he smiled at her.

"Continue then."

"The doctor said something's wrong me, the smile on my face has no remedy. So baby don't say no... Come on and just say yes. You know it's time to keep it simple, let's take a chance and hope for the best..."

She continued. "Life is short so make it what you wanna, make it good, don't wait until mañana..."

"I think I'm cool cause your name's on this heart-shaped tattoo. Now the best thing about me is you," he sang seriously.

The people around them sang as they danced close to each other.

Our cryin' days are now history

I had a change of philosophy

I take each day as it comes to me

And I won't take myself all that seriously

Her tears started welling up. She saw the people around them singing for them, making swaying movements, all smiling, all happy.

So baby don't say no
