Chapter Seven

****

"Autumn!" Stiles' voice echoed around me as he and Scott sprinted over to where we were standing with none other than Sheriff himself, "Are you okay?! Is everyone okay?!"

I gave my head a small nod as he checked me over for any sign of injury, "Y-Yeah, we're all okay. Used to seeing things like this, just glad we got here with enough time to get the officers help."

"Boys." Sheriff stated, grabbing their attention. "Scott, you saw this kid, Donovan. He...uh, he wasn't like you, right?"

Scott's eyes squinted in thought as he shook his head, "I don't think so."

"Unless he knows how to hide his scent." Stiles pointed out.

Sheriff shifted in place, keeping his focus on the boys considering he had already got all of the information from us girls that we could give. "Well, human or otherwise, this kid might have just murdered his lawyer and mortally wounded two officers. We've got an APB out on him, but you think you could find him faster?" The question was obviously directed at Scott since he was the one with the werewolf sense of smell.

"I can try." He nodded, immediately receiving a walkie talkie from Sheriff.

"Alright, keep it on channel two." With that there was no hesitation and Scott took off away from the scene to hopefully find Donovan so he can go back to being locked up. If he himself was capable of doing all of this, then there was no doubt who his next targets were going to be.

Stiles let out a sigh and ran his hands through his hair, "Dad, what if this wasn't Donovan?"

Stiles let out a sigh and ran his hands through his hair, "Dad, what if this wasn't Donovan?"

"I'm guessing you've already got a theory?"

"Yeah..." He nodded, "I think I do."

Letting out a puff of air I glanced between everyone in the group, "Well, I think I'll just sit down and rest my legs just in case we gotta make a run for it." With the tone I spoke in I almost seemed to be joking, but that definitely wasn't the case.

I made my way towards the ground to take a seat expecting to quickly be met with the concrete underneath me, which I was, but that wasn't the only thing I was met with. It was like the moment I was fully rested on the road beneath me, the familiar bright white light overtook my sight and an image began fading into view. I could faintly hear the sounds of the chattering police walkie's and those talking around me, but my main focus was what was appearing for me. I could see the van swerving down this exact road, completely out of control, before it came to a stop as it crashed into the curb.

Fully expecting to see Donovan go all Freddy Krueger on everyone in the van, you could say I was pretty surprised to find a girl standing on top of the van instead. At this moment I couldn't see her face, due to the fact she seemed to be hiding behind her long brown hair.
