It had been days since a new chimera had shown up, but there was a continuous feeling of dread that draped among all of us, constantly being on our toes with the unknown that awaited.
I don't think any of us have really slept for the fear of what may be looming in the dark, what the next day holds. We were all struggling in our own ways, some more than others, others.
"It's gotta be around here somewhere."
Lydia, Stiles, and I were standing in the woods looking for none other than the nemeton. You would think it wouldn't be difficult to find due to its size, yet here we are, wandering around in circles. "I'm pretty sure we passed this spot at least twice already." I groaned, running my hands down my face.
"It's almost like this thing doesn't want to be found." Stiles stated from somewhere behind me.
"I mean...I never really thought we would be trying to find this thing again, ya know...because of the mess it caused before but-whatever."
"Maybe it knows we're late for class." Lydia chimed in, ignoring my comment. "Because we've been here twice...Autumn was right." She said while gesturing towards the white "x" drawn on a tree trunk with chalk.
A chuckle slipped from my lips, "It's funny because I was totally just saying that, didn't even realize-"
"Crap." Stiles interrupted.
"Can we talk to Parrish now?" The sass was radiating off of Lydia.
"Hang on..." Stiles made his way towards Lydia to which I followed. "If the Nemeton's covered in bodies, shouldn't the two of you be able to find them?"
"Us?"
Stiles looked between the two of us. "Yes, you two. The Banshee's standing in front of me. You find the bodies...you know...death....stuff like that."

"Well, the Banshee's are having an off day, so how about we talk to Parrish."
"Speak for yourself."
Stiles' eyes darted back at me, "Are you trying to say you feel something? Like you can sense the bodies?"
"Oh...nope." I shook my head. "I just wanted to speak for myself, totally having an off day though." I turned from Stiles' gaze to my sister. "Also, someone seems eager to get to a certain deputy-"
She shot me a pointed look before Stiles chose to speak again. "We can't."
"Why not?"
"Because one of the bodies..." He paused. "One of them...one of them could be...."
Her eyes narrowed in his direction, "Could be what?"
Stiles glanced at me before looking back at Lydia. "One of them could be a clue."
