Today.

Today is the day Cole and I officially start the contract. I look at the clothes Emily and I bought, not knowing what to wear since none of these clothes are particularly my style. In the end, I decide to wear a black shirt and ripped skinny jeans. I let my hair down and curl the ends a bit. I also decided to put more make up on than usual, the way Emily had told me to do so. I look at myself in the mirror and see an entirely different person. I don't see the typical Jean who would usually wear worn out clothes and put on make make up ranging from just eyeliner to lip gloss, I see this new person wearing ripped jeans (that gives accent to my butt, which I don't really find comfortable) and a black shirt that nearly shows off my stomach.

Once I finally finish my overall look, I check the time, wondering where Cole is. I'm a little worried that maybe he had forgotten to pick me up. But a few minutes later, my mom knocks on my bedroom door with a confused expression on her face "Honey, Cole Sprouse is outside waiting for you"

My stomach turns. He's here.

"Oh um, he's just taking me to school" I say trying not to sound too nervous "Anyways, I have to go" I quickly grab my bag and kiss my mom on the cheek and go downstairs. I open the front door to see Cole leaning against his car. I go near him and when we make eye contact, his eyes widen. He eyes my whole outfit and doesn't say anything after awhile. The perfect way to describe Cole's current expression is probably speechless and dumbfounded. I become agitated and ten times more nervous. Is my outfit that bad?

"Wow" he finally speaks, breaking the awkward silence. "Damn, I have the hottest girlfriend in the world. You look hot." He smirks, seeming very pleased with himself.

I roll my eyes but I still couldn't help but blush a little. "I'm not your girlfriend, I'm your pretend girlfriend. There's a difference"

He laughs "Whatever, just get in the car" he opens the door for me and I get in.

The whole car ride to school was silent. I couldn't help but feel more and more nervous as we reach nearer to school. I could feel an uneasy feeling in my stomach and my heart beating so fast. The whole weekend I have done nothing but think about the things that could possibly happen when Cole and I walk in those doors hand in hand, and I know that people are definitely going to stare. We arrive school with a lot of time to spare. We sit in the car for a few moments before he speaks up.

"Hey, don't be nervous. You're only dating the hottest guy in school"

I laugh at his pathetic attitude. But somehow, I become less worried and nervous.

"Are you ready?" He asks.

I nod, bracing myself as I get out of the car. He does the same, and as we walk to the school building he holds my hand and intertwines it with his finger. I jerk up and look at him and winks at me. My heart is beating so fast as we near the school building. Cole and I reach the interior of the building, he stops for awhile and then starts walking again. I could feel my heart pounding so hard in my chest as people were now looking in our direction. I could hear them mumbling and whispering as we walk past them. I grip Cole's hand tighter, he notices this and smiles.

"Relax, sweetheart. You're with me" He gives me yet again that award-winning smile that all the girls in this school are dying to see. I calm down a bit and continue walking, trying to look more confident.you can say that I'm that type of person who prefers to stay lowkey, or hidden.

After what felt like forever, we finally reach our first class together. I head for my usual seat at the back when I feel him grab my wrist and leads me to the seat beside him.

"Do I really have to sit beside you during class?" I ask.

"Of course, we're basically dating so we always have to be seen together." He says "But if you're distracted because of me I guess I can make certain considerations" He smirks as I roll my eyes at how conceited he is.
