Little girl with wide eyes and
a broken heart seeks solace in
glowing heat and expansion;
yearns sight of space from her
window that creaks as she
looks up and out of its frame,
her valley of ribs moving slow.
Little girl with daydreams
believes in more, wants to
feel something inexplicable,
become unbreakable. She's got
hungry eyes that wish on stars and
hands that conjure stars and
lips that swallow stars.
