to their hearts
to their minds
people have died
for our right
to come together
and unite
in desperation
we stand tall
we will not let
strong women fall
to their struggle
to their love
they kept fighting
and rose above
this disrespect
and this rage
they went against it
turned a new page
no matter race
sexuality or age
i cannot express how grateful i am
simply within a rhyme
but i know if we keep fighting
all we need is time
