you wore the face of a liar and made me believe it was the truth

You're my least favourite lie,
My biggest mistake.

Every wasted breath you used as your voice yelled lies
Fills the air, my lungs with smoke;
You're burning.

You were false when I knew you,
This idolisation in my brain I stored and looked after.
I wish I'd knocked over the shelf before you did yourself.

When I blink I see you on my eyelids;
I speak and I hear you in my words.
You're in me, but you aren't me -

You're just my least favourite lie,
Just my biggest mistake.
