"C'mon girls! We gotta get goin'." Party said, shaking my shoulder. I growled lowly, sticking my middle finger up his way.
Ghoul chuckled, as Party just rolled his eyes.
"C'mon we got dracs comin', we have to go." He ordered, except I don't ever recall telling him that he's my boss.
But I sat up, seeing as though Ghoul had already dragged Silver out of the booth, leaving her to wake up on the floor.
I chuckled, as I got up, walking over to where she lay.
I kneeled down. "You okay?" I asked, laughing playfully . She laughed as she nodded, taking my hand to help her to her feet.
"Come ooonnn." Jet whined as he started pushing us out the door. I looked out towards the sky, to see that it only had to be about 8:00 in the morning.
"You got up me up at 8 in the fucking morning!?" I grumbled. Jet laughed lowly as he shoved us out the door.
I shuffled over to my bike, sluggishly swinging my leg over the side and starting up my engine.
Silver walked over to me, handing me my helmet. I nodded a thank you as I slipped it on, tucking my hair inside. Anything with dracs included, in whatever way they could spot us for our identities, I have to secure myself and my sister at all times.
Silver did the same as she revved up her engine. Party gave me a thumbs up from the drivers side of their Trans-Am, and I returned the gesture.
They sped off, me and Silver following persuit. We rode on either side of them, me on the right and Silver to the left.
We headed towards Zone 5, where the dracs were last reported seen.
After a good half an hour of riding, black and white vehicles come up over the horizon, blurred from the desert radiation.
At first I assumed it was only one, or maybe two, but as we started inching getting closer, I could see we were up against maybe three or four cars.
"Shit.." I mumbled. There was such an abundance of them lately. Unless the four are used to fighting off this many, maybe BL/ind was really just out to get them?
The thought dragged on me. They must've done something pretty stupid to have Better Living this far into trying to kill them.
We were now only a few yards away from them now, every vehicle screeching to a stop.
I cut the engine, quickly pulling out my gun, the safety already off, and pointing it at the first car in sight.
I stood up off my bike, Silver matching my every move. The Trans-Am doors flew open, the group filing out from their own car doors.
I decided to get the party started as I shot down the first drac that stepped out.
The rest immedietely swarmed out, creating a large mass of Draculoids.
I ran up, mingling with the other killjoys. I shot down all of the dracs in my sight, right where their snobby masks made me sick to my stomach.
But suddenly, my gun stopped firing lasers.
"I'm out of carbons!!" I yelled. Flustered to keep myself safe, I darted between killjoys and laser beams, scrambling to find anything I can use as a weapon.
Dracs charged at me. I ducked as a punch was thrown at me. I swifly swept my right leg underneath him, toppling him to the ground.
I crashed my steel-toed boot down on its nose, a crunching sound filling the space between us.
Another one lunged at me from behind, wrapping his arms around my neck.
I grabbed the collar of his uniform, flipping his body around me with all of my weight. He landed with a heavy thud to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.
I kicked his face in, checking my surroundings for anyone else attacking me.
Suddenly Kobra was at my side, handing me a box of carbons.
"Thank you." I said gratefully over the ruckus of the remaining battle. He nodded as he faught off the dracs that surrounded me.
I realized that he wasn't just using his ray gun. He was really good at hand to hand combat.
I refilled my ammo, quick to shoot down the remaining dracs in our shared area. They all fell to the ground, dead in seconds.
The air was suddenly unbeaarably still, not a single human moved a muscle.
I looked around, to see that every killjoy was still standing, smiling nervously from exhileration.
"That was the most dracs I've ever seen." Party realized, as he looked at the number of dead dracs littering the desert,
He ran his fingers nervously through his hair as he made his way back to his vehicle.
"Back to base team." He declared.
I hopped onto my bike, revving the engine, and following the others back to headquarters.
The ride back didn't seem to be as long as the ride there..the stiff air still clung heavy to us.
I parked my bike around the side of the Diner, right beside Silver's. Where they couldn't be detected in case dracs did happen to show up.
As I made my way towards the entrance, I noticed that there was a distinct dirt pathway, which led to the back of the building.
I followed it as I ventured around, using the wall to guide the way.
I turned the corner to see that the back appeared to be a hidden garage. The Trans-Am was parked back here away from the dirt storms and deadly sunshine.
A tool box and assorted tools lay scattered across the desert ground.
The door was wide open, the afternoon light illuminating the multiple boxes of junk and miscellaneous objects that cluttered the open space.
