ummmmmmmmmmmm.....this ship........makes me uncomfortable......
Okay, I wish we knew more about this Gaster figure, before judging the ship, because to be honest, all we know about Gaster is...
A. He was the royal scientist before Alphys
and
B. He seems to be somehow connected to Sans, as we see in Sans' underground mini-lab thing.
and
C. He fell into one of his projects, causing what the fan-base says was him being scattered across time and space.
But that's about it.... for all we know, he could be Sans' father, or older brother.
I don't know.... I'm just not a fan of this ship, what can I say * shrug *
But it's not completely awful... I feel kinda neutral on this one.
My head cannon is, is that Gaster was Sans' boss, and they became friends, but then Gaster went a bit crazy ( I'm not going into detail, or else we'll be here all day), so I see their relationship after the crazy Gaster, to be like this:

I guess it kind of grew on me...
Look, I'm not someone who sees Gaster as Sans' father, so there isn't anything wrong with it morally in my mind.
Yes, Gaster still goes completely nuts in my head-canon, but he does u-turn at the very end (he made a u-turn from bad to good) right before he falls.
The way I see Gaster's character, is that he was a good person, with good intentions, that went horribly wrong.
And before Gaster lost his mind in my head canon, I would be lying to say that I don't ship him and Sans a tad.
