Your bed creaked under the weight of something. Then suddenly, a heavy weight fell on you in such a harsh and violent manner.

You grunted and jolted awake, gasping for air as child-like giggles filled your room. Your eyes met a brunet child looking up at you with a wondrous smile.

"Toriel baked pie!" The child gleefully told you. You couldn't help but mirror the smile they had in their face and off you both went to where the motherly creature was.

"Morning, Mom." You greeted as you have found the fluffy creature setting the baked pie on the table. She turned to face the both of you with a warm charming smile.

"Good morning, little ones. I hope you like butterscotch pie, Frisk." Toriel beamed at the child as the three of you sat down together for a bite.

At the first bite of the pie, your eyes glanced over the clock and it nearly popped out at the sight of the time. It wasn't long till you realize that you were late for work. You jumped out of your seat, startling the poor child and your goat mother.

"Dear, where do you think you're going?" She questioned you with a calm and confused tone. You rushed towards your shared room with the brunet child and packed the things you need.

"Work." You told the gentle creature bluntly. You passed by her briefly before going back and giving her fluffy cheeks a gentle kiss. "I'm off to work then." You smiled at her, then you turned to the child that seemed like a sibling to you.

You ruffled their chocolate locks and gave them a bright smile. "Be good, okay? Or else someone is going to give you a bad time." You winked, remembering the time when Sans threatened you about hurting anyone.

And without another word, you left for Alphys’ lab. On your way, you saw a familiar bright figure up ahead. A figure that outstands every monster outside at that moment. Simply because he was on fire. Literally.

"Grillby?" You questioned as you approached the standing man. He turned to your direction immediately at the call of his name. You could've sworn he brightened a little more at the sight of you. And you were certain that if he ever had a tail, more specifically, a dog's tail, it would be wagging.

"Y/n." He spoke rather calmly in his raspy voice which didn't suit his very actions.

"What're you doing out here?" You asked again, giving your lover's hand a gentle squeeze. His hands were the perfect heater for this kind of place. He returned the squeeze tenderly.

He reached over his back and pulled out what seemed to have been a lunch pack. "I made this for you." Your cheeks immediately warmed at this.

"You shouldn't have." You gushed as you took the weight off your lover's hand. A familiar aroma hit your smelling nerves and you gave him a playful look. "Is this my favorite food?"

But Grillby didn't reply. Instead, he held onto that ghostly smile on his face that was barely even visible. You couldn't help but admire the many expressions that this creature hid from the Underground. And you were rather thankful that you were the one to be able to bring it out.

"Thank you." You whispered as you tipped over your toes and kissed the fire creature's cheeks. "Don't worry, I'll be home before you know it."

Grillby couldn't help but let a grin drawl over his features as he snaked his hand under your hair to your nape and pulled you in for a proper kiss. His lips devoured yours within seconds. And just like that, your second kiss was stolen once more in such an unromantic way.

"I know. I'll be waiting." He said as he pulled apart. You were left gaping at him with brightened cheeks and a thumping heart. You could feel all eyes on you and you couldn't help but shrunk down and bury yourself somewhere you know you're safe and warm.

So you leant over Grillby's chest and hid there as he wrapped his arms around your body with an alluring chuckle before kissing the top of your head. "You're so adorable, I love you so much." You couldn't help but warm up some more at the fruitful things he kept saying.

You clutched into his vest, begging him to stop but he seemed to have mistook it as otherwise. "Does the princess wants me to escort her to work?" You shook your head bashfully and clutched his vest even more. "Oh, then would you like me to carry you there?" This time, you smacked his chest and pouted at him.

"Stop teasing me."

You watched as the familiar pink dust crept into his face. And it was now his turn to avoid any eye contact. His eyes cascaded downwards, and slowly, he hid himself at the crook of your neck.

"Stop doing that adorable face. Especially in public." Your heart immediately quicken as your face felt warmer than it usually does. He lifted up his gaze to see your flustered one and he immediately hid a smirk.

"Tease." You scoffed playfully as he leant and planted a soft, chaste kiss on your lips.

"It's fun to tease, sweetheart." Your eyes widened at the endearment, your mind was immediately clouded by something unknown. You shook the thought away and gave him a smile.

"We'll see, buttercup. See you after work."

"Of course, darling." He waved as you left to Hotlands. On your way, you encountered the spontaneous skeleton brothers, waving at you goodbye and wishing you good luck. Although, something seemed a bit off. Especially with the shorter skeleton who gaze at you with lifeless eyes.
