Lauren's POV~
Taskmore station was silent, the lights flickered. A lone person stood at the other end of the platform. Every nerve in my body screamed for me to run. Pulling the hood so it covered most of my face, I marched over to the person. "Ghost, it's good to make your acquaintance." The man slipped me a brown envelop. Obviously containing files. I turned to look at the tracks, carefully keeping the empty billboards in my field of vision, using them as a mirror.
"What's in it for me?" The words left an unpleasant taste in my mouth. A laugh erupted, echoing around the station.
"I will pay your contractor" snarling I swung around to face him.
"No, I want my pay now."
"You don't know who you are dealing with." He handed me a neat stack of notes and left.****
