I found my classroom and walked towards it as an adult angel stopped me
"Hi, I'm your teacher Andre River and I have to look at your wings before you enter, we have to Check all the beginners wings"
He studied my wings in detail and wrote down stuff on some weird iPad-looking device. Well here in heaven the adult angels makes sure that our wing's all right and looks great. It's similar to the nurse checkups in school despite that they won't ask you about your height or weight which I think is really great, not that I'm not satisfied with my body. I do like my body most of the time ... kinda.
"Okay, you may enter" Mr.River said and smiled "your wings looks really good young man"
"Thank you" I looked for an empty place and found an empty seat on the back of the classroom. Perfect.
This class is the beginner class which means that I won't be with Lionel.
There are a lot of students in this classroom, and it looks like a normal class in school - well.. not with those wings but you get it - everyone's quite, heh, THAT'S different, in my past life on earth everyone just talked to each other even though the teachers told us to shut up. Well.. that maybe is because no one really knows each other and that everyone's from different places.
In school on earth, your classmate's from your city - mostly - and some of them know each other, you might be childhood friends or just friend of a friend, but here it's different. All the dead people around the world are in one place. Huh? All the dead people? Which means that there's actually a chance for me to meet him...
My thoughts got interrupted once Mr.River started talking.
"Okay ladies and gentlemen, Today i'll just talk about the most important things and the things you need to know"
I noticed that EVERYONE sat quite and listened carefully to Mr.River, that never happened on earth. Everyone just talked and didn't care about the teacher. But who should everyone talk to anyways, no one really knows anyone, and yes I got to talk to Lionel but I still don't know him.
"The things you need to know is that this group will become guardian angels. On the end of this course you'll get a human to protect against hell's evil creators, and you're absolutely not allowed to get involved with them no matter what, understood?" Mr.River asked
"yes!" We all replied
"Great, and there's one more important thing, you won't age, let's say that you died at the age of 16, that means you'll stay 16 forever"
"does that mean that i'm not allowed to drink?" a young blonde girl asked
"Alcohol won't effect you the same way it did when you were human miss" mr.River answered
"oh, okay, then it's not as funny" she said before shutting her mouth
"okay back to the main topic now, just a said a while ago, you all will become guardian angels in the end and there's rules. First. You'll get your human who you're going to protect from evil spirits and eventually the devils in hell." Mr.River started talking again. "The devils wants humans to sin and your job is to make sure that the devils won't win, we don't need any more evil spirits in this world"
I raised my hand.
"Nikolai." he said
"um.. what counts as a sin? like.. um.. people sees differently on it and stuff"
"Good question. but the sins we talk about aren't the same sins they tell you in any of your religions. I'll tell you what the sins are since you asked Nikolai. The things we count as sins are killing, you're not allowed to kill someone. But if humans kill someone for the sake of saving their life then it won't count as a sin. Second, abusing someone. Third, offend someone in any way is highly forbidden but sadly humans do that all the time. That's our three biggest sins and these will make humans fall down in hell. Because there's no good reason for abusing someone neither for offending someone, and that's the rules for humans"
That means that I won't be able to meet him, thank God.
"But there are rules for the angels as well" Mr.River continued "and you have to follow them, i mentioned one earlier, don't get involved with the devils it doesn't matter that you're angels, they can take over your soul. Second, don't get attached to the humans to much"
"why not?" a red haired boy asked "isn't better for our bond if we're supposed to be guardian angels"
"If you get to attached you might sin, you might choose to leave heaven to stay with that human. love is stronger then anything else and you're not supposed to feel love for any human beings"
And the bell rang. Lesson's over.
