It's a bright, beautiful morning. There is no sign distress. Ben opens his eyes halfway and looks at his alarm clock. He is 10 minutes early. He feels relaxed and goes back to sleep. Then what feels like a split second, the alarm makes screeching, annoying beeps and Ben wakes up feeling like he crawled out of Hell. Ben groans like a monster as he sits up.
Ben takes a shower and gets dressed. He comes downstairs and sits at the table and eats breakfast with his family. The living room was next to the dining room. They watched the news as they ate. It was the Daily Bugle News. The news reported Spider-Boy stopping the shooting in a brand new outfit. Much like what happened to Spider-Man. Only a lot.
