He was silent. 

She was crying. 

He wanted to reach out to her. 

She wanted to run away. 

He wanted to say something. 

She couldn’t find the words. 

His heart raced. 

Her knee’s weakened. 

He closed his eyes. 

She wanted to touch him. 

He needed answers. 

She had none to give. 

He longed for Louis. 

She longed for solitude. 

He thought this was a nightmare. 

She wanted to wake up. 

He wanted to leave, escape. 

She was frozen in place, unmoving. 

His eyes brimmed with tears. 

She had none left to shed. 

He found his resolve. 

She lost her nerve. 

His heart was breaking. 

Her heart was broken. 

They were both a mess and the answers they sought, could not be divulged. 

There was no time. 

Someone was at the door. They broke the silence with a key sliding into the lock, the voice called out. 

Harry looked up. 

She swore. 

“I got the pram!” the all too familiar voice called, excitedly. 

“No!” She shouted. 

Harry stood up. Another unforgivable wave of betrayal hit him hard. 

“Let me explain!” Jennifer began. 

Harry screamed, bounding for the door.

The damage was done. 

This time, Harry had broken.
