A Spy Date!?

(Serena's pov)

I stood at the entrance of the mall tapping my foot impatiently.

"Geez, where in the world is he!? If he doesn't hurry up we're going to miss our chance!" I mumbled to myself.

I was waiting at the entrance of the Academy shopping mall. This place is huge, it's got everything you could possibly imagine! Clothing stores, movie theaters, food, you name it!

What am I waiting for you may ask?

I happen to be waiting for the biggest slow poke on the planet, Ash!

I sighed.

Well, I guess it's not entirely his fault.

Let me explain. We're supposed to be trailing Dawn today so that we can potentially get some information about her operation. We decided it might be a good idea to get there before her to avoid suspicion. I got up a little earlier out of anxiety, and I may have over reacted just a bit this morning.

(Flashback)

"Ash, it's time to wake up!" I said as I shook him.

"Nnnggg, no Serena, we agreed no studying on a Saturday." Ash said, talking in his sleep.

I sweat-dropped.

I never knew Ash could be such a heavy sleeper. I started to shake him even harder.

"Come on Ash, get up! We're going to miss our chance to follow Dawn!" I said, getting a little frustrated.

"Huh?" Ash said groggily.

He rolled over and looked at me with a groggy and confused look on his face. I'd be lying if I said it wasn't cute.

"Oh, good morning Serena. What's goin' on?" He asked.

Uuuuuuugggg!! There's no way he already forgot!

"Uh, does Dawn ring any bells?" I asked sarcastically.

Ash sat there for a moment, his eyes lost in a groggy gaze. Then suddenly it must have clicked, because he was wide awake in a matter of seconds.

"OOOH!! How could I forget!" Ash yelled.

I face palmed and sighed. So he DID forget! I placed my hands on my hips.

"Geez Ash, would you please take this seriously!? This isn't a joke you know!" I snapped loudly.

I placed my hands on my mouth, realizing my tone was a bit more harsh than I thought.

"Uh, sorry I just-" Ash started to say.

"I'm heading out, I'll see you at the mall." I said quickly as I headed out the door.

"Wait Serena!" I heard Ash say.

I ignored him and headed out of the dorms.

(End of Flashback)

I sighed.

I really screwed up, didn't I. I hope he's not upset with me.

'Ash...' I thought to myself.

(Ash's pov)

Ah man, I really hope Serena isn't mad at me. I really didn't forget, I was still half asleep and wasn't thinking clearly. She said she'd be waiting for me at the mall. Buuuut, I don't exactly know where that is...

I thought about asking someone around the dorm, but the lobby was empty. Everyone is probably already out by now.

"Aw man, if I don't hurry up our chances of getting that info are gonna go right down the drain." I thought aloud.
