Taehyung was looking at you with hopeful eyes as you debated the answer to his question.

"Honestly, I think that Jade and Namjoon stopped listening to us a while back, Yoongi was never paying attention to us, Jin's been asleep for about an hour now, and Hoseok and Jimin have been too busy yelling at each other to pay attention to us for the last twenty minutes. I think Jungkook is the only one we have to worry about."

"Do you want to go up to the roof?" he asked, his dark eyes sparkling mischievously.

You glanced back at Jade, who was too busy jokingly fending off Namjoon's advances to pay any attention to what you were doing, or even if you were still in the room.

"Only for a few minutes," you replied, still a bit thrown by Taehyung's behavior when you had first arrived at the building, but you trusted him enough for him to lead you up to the roof.

"Let's go," he smiled, standing up and offering you his hand.

Taking it in yours, you were shocked to feel a spark, mainly because that was so cliché and unbelievably stupid to even believe would happen in the real world. Laughing inwardly at your inner romantic, you allowed Taehyung to drag you behind him as he ran toward the stair way. You and he ran up three flights of stairs before Taehyung stopped to mess with the door in front of him.

"It sticks," he offered in explanation, finally freeing the door from the doorjamb and pulling you into the cold, fresh air.

The view from the roof was a breathtaking array of industrial buildings as far as the eye could see. Sucking in a breath, you stepped closer to the edge of the roof to glance over to the street below. Taehyung sat on the edge of the roof, swinging his legs slightly in front of him.

"We really do need to talk about the serious stuff," he murmured, looking to the ground as though he'd rather be anywhere but here in this moment.

"I know," you replied, sitting down next to him on the roof, "So, what's first?"

"I don't know. Namjoon never talks about the technicalities of the bond."

"And I only know what Jade told me yesterday."

"Technically, that was this morning," Taehyung mused aloud, "But seriously. We only have a few minutes before they realize that we're gone."

"Why the hell didn't you remind me that Jungkook's heat was this week?" Jade said, scooting away from Namjoon across the floor. "I would have helped."

"Are you offering up your apartment as a place for him to stay, baby? Because with him gone, my room will be empty," he raised his eyebrows in a way meant to be seductive, but only caused Jade to groan and throw a packet of hot sauce at him.

"Seriously, Namjoon? Dinah and I are both worried about leaving him here this week. Remember what happened to the dorm? Are you prepared to clean shards of shattered mirror off the floor? Because that's what's going to happen if he stays here."

"PD Nim--"

"PD Nim has never had to fend off a werewolf in heat. No offence to him, but he should leave this to the professionals."

Namjoon looked at the floor, sheepishly taking Jade's harsh words silently.

"Seriously Namjoon. I want to be able to help my boys as much as I can before we have kids of our own to deal with," She scooted back to him, "Namjoon, please look at me."

"You really want to have kids of our own someday?"

Of course, that's what he focused on, she thought, bemused.

"Of course I do. You know I do, more than anything. But for now, for now I want to help these guys. I just feel obligated," her voice dropped to a whisper, "I'm sorry I wasn't a werewolf, Namjoon. I know that would have made this easier."

Namjoon put his arms around Jade, and forced her to look up at him.

"Baby," he began, resting his forehead on hers, "I wouldn't change a single thing about you. You are perfect. Don't let anyone, not Dinah, not the boys, not even me, tell you otherwise. No one said that it was going to be easy. Falling in love with you was the only thing about this that was easy."

"Namjoon? Do you think, if you weren't a werewolf, if we hadn't met that night, we would have ended up together?"

"Jade, I wish I could tell you without a shadow of a doubt that that would have happened, but I don't know that for a fact. But thankfully, I am a werewolf, and we did meet that night, and you've got me now. So let's not dwell on the past, okay?"

"Okay. I love you," she said, desperate for some reassurance.

"I love you too."

"How long do you think it will be before they realize that Tae and (y/n) left?" Dinah questioned, head resting in Yoongi's lap as he played idly with her hair.

"I give it ten minutes. Then they'll both freak out and assume the worst," he peered down at her, "How are you doing?"

"This little guy's kicking up a storm. He's got my fighting spirit," she laughed, placing a hand on the top of her stomach and smiling up at this man, the father of her child.

"I would hope so," Yoongi replied, stroking her hair and placing aa hand atop hers, "he's definitely going to need it growing up with all of these uncles."

"He'll be fine," Dinah assured Yoongi, "and he'll be perfect."

Jade and Namjoon were snapping out of their little world in the corner, and glancing around the room.

"Um, guys? Where are (y/n) and Tae?"

"So, you can sense me? What, what does it feel like?"

"It's kind of like a buzzing feeling in the back of my head, I guess. I'm not really sure how to describe it to someone who doesn't have heightened senses."

You looked down at your hands, "How bad is it right now?"

"There's practically nothing. It gets worse when, well, when you're far away."

"Why?"

"I... I don't know. That's just the way it is."

"So, is it the same for Jade and Namjoon?"

Taehyung shook his head and glanced behind him toward the door back to the building.

You were confused, and asked, "Why?" again.

"Jade's been marked. There's some hormone war that gets solved when that happens; it's kind of like a wolf marking its territory, I guess. I've never done this before," he whispered.

"So, this whole thing could be solved by you just marking me? Then, why don't we just do it?"

A voice from behind you and Taehyung spoke. "Because, (y/n), it's not that simple. Nothing is ever that simple when it comes to us."
