Knock, knock, knock.

Groaning, I snuggle further into the bed.

"Jade, come on. Get up. There's school."

Who the hell....

Oh.

"I don't wanna get up!"

Shane then opens up the door and turns on the light.

"No! It's too bright!"

"Too bad. We're both going, so come on."

"But I don't wanna."

"You sound like a child." Shane says chuckling.

"I know." I sigh.

"Now come on, get up. We have to go. It's only the second day."

"I'm up. I'm up."

"You do go to Columbia, right, Jade?"

"Yes. What, you do?"

"I knew you looked familiar. We have a few classes together." He says smugly.

After getting ready and finally arriving at school, Shane and I make our way to our classes.

Turns out he has English with me.

'Where's Jenna...?'

I got pulled out of my thoughts when I heard Shane calling me.

"You're sitting right next to me." He said happily.

Chucking, I sit next to him and begin conversing about random things.

Mr. Biersack then walks in the room. And man does he look grouchy.

"We're doing a reading project," he began.

"And if you want you can work with a partner."

"I call dibs on you!" Shane blurts out, earning a few annoyed and shocked stares from the others in the room. I couldn't help but laugh.

Mr. Biersack rolled his eyes and with a heavy sigh, he got up and left the room.

"What the hell crawled up his ass and died?" I questioned.

Shane just shrugged and took out his iPod.

"Oooooo, what kind of music do you have on there?" I asked him.

Before he could respond I grabbed it, smiled, and began scrolling through his music.

"Don't you know it's not nice to take people's things?" he rhetorically asked me.

"Shane, I think you just became my new best friend."

"Ha, what made you decide that?"

"These are some of my favorite bands. Carnifex, Slayer, Pierce The Veil.. I love them! I smiled brightly.

He puffed out his chest and cockily replied, "I am pretty damn awesome, aren't I?"

"Yes, you are." I replied with a smile.

"What book are we supposed to do this thing on?" he asked, changing the topic.

I picked up the packet and scowled at it.

"Don't know. He didn't say whether or not he was assigning a book."

Out of nowhere, Shane began laughing.

"What's so funny?"

"You."

"What? What did I do?!"

"You're cute when you scowl at papers."

I hit his arm and mumbled a 'shut up' under my breath.

"Awww, I'm sorry." he said pinching my cheeks.

I couldn't help but laugh at him.
