The wind stirred around you, trees swaying and your hair blowing around too as if it was trying to distract you. You didn't let it though, you stayed focused despite the stinging in your eyes from the sun rays that still travelled down through the atmosphere and the strain you were inflicting on them.
Carl was steady, hiding the falling energy better than you were. He had better chances you told yourself when you worked out that you were most likely going to lose, his hat rested comfortably on his head, covering his hair and shading his eyes. That was unfair.
But, you still cursed yourself when you blinked.
You had not been able to help it, you just could not hold out any longer.
"Dammit!"
Carl snickered as the word flew out of your mouth with a passionate rage, you were very stubborn and hated to lose anything, especially against Carl and his endless teasing. He smirked.
