"you're gonna miss me so bad when i'm gone, daryl dixon."
the words ran through his head, the sweet voice ringing in his ears like a church bell. he could see her when he had his eyes closed, her blonde hair tied up messily, pieces falling out and most likely a braid running through it. he missed it. he could picture the small smile that so often played at her pink lips before she would begin to sing, then it was her voice again. the voice like that of an angel.
he hadn't thought much of it when she had muttered those words before. he hadn't liked to hear her talking about her own death and he had not thought that it would happen, not soon, not with him protecting her.
but it had.
and she had been so right because he did miss her so much. he missed her everyday, more than anything. and it felt like it was killing him.
