The gang had woken up early,and had started off early as well.They got lost a few times,but rescued Pewter City at dusk."Oh,I am so worn out!"Serena said.Bonnie simply nodded in agreement."See,that's the gym.Brock should be there.And um Serena and Bonnie,you might find Brock a bit weird at first,okay?"Ash said,grinning.Serena nodded."Last one to the gym is a rotten Pokemon egg!"Bonnie yelled and started to run."Oh no you don't!"Ash yelled behind Bonnie,running as well.Serena smiled and started to run too.
"Brock!Its great to see you again!"Ash said,when he had found Brock meditating in the gym."Huh?Ash!How nice!And Pikachu!How are you doing!"Brock said,moving towards Pikachu and petting him.Pikachu moaned."Brock,meet my friends,Serena and Bonnie."Ash said,pointing towards the girls.Brock nodded and said,"Nice to meet you.Hmmm.A Dedenne.Never seen one before."Bonnie smiled proudly and said,"We're from the Kalos region."Brock nodded and looked towards Ash saying,"So,these two will be traveling with you huh?You're back to Kanto to enter the Yugen league right?"Ash nodded."What about the rest of you?"Brock said,pointing towards Serena and Bonnie."I am a performer.I take part in Pokemon showcases.Recently,Pokemon showcases have started in all the regions.I was heading towards the Yugen region,where I bumped into Ash and Bonnie.I decided to come along with Ash on his journey,so I can get more experience."Brock smiled and said,"Impressive.""I have brother back in Kalos.He is the gym leader of the electric type gym.I want to learn more about Pokemon.I love taking care of them,and I want to grow up and and take care of Pokemon,as well as becoming a Pokemon trainer!So,I came with Ash.Took a lot of begging,but was finally allowed!"Bonnie said.Brock smiled and said,"Reminds me of myself when I was a kid."Ash asked,"What are your plans Brock?""I will be traveling to all the cities with gyms.I want to find out whether a gym leader's Pokemon is healthier and stronger than a wild Pokemon of the same type.See,I had found a wild onix and decided to make it battle with mine.Surprisingly,the Wild onix beat my onix.But,when I checked its body,it was less healthier than mine.I want to see if it's the same with all the other gym leaders.Also,I want to see if a Pokemon is better off with a trainer or not."Brock said.Serena and Bonnie were in awe of him.And Ash just smiled."Say,will you travel with us Brock.It would be great if you could."Ash said.Serena and Bonnie nodded.Brock looked thoughtful for a minute,but then smiled and said,"That'll be great!"Ash smiled and gave a high five to Brock.Bonnie jumped up and down.Serena quietly moved towards Ash and whispered to him,"You said me and Bonnie might find Brock weird.I don't think he's weird.I am actually in awe of him."Ash smirked and said,"Oh ,you'll see."Serena looked confused and was just about to say something when Ash suddenly said,"Where did Pikachu go?He was here a minute ago."Everyone started searching for him,yelling his name. "Let's check out side."Brock said.The others went out side,only to see Team Rocket's balloon,and running towards the balloon was the team."Oh man.Not them again!Give me back my Pikachu!"Ash yelled."If you think we will actually give you back your Pikachu,then you're dopier than I thought."Jessie yelled,stopping in her tracks.Then Team R started their dialogue.Ash looked at Serena and Bonnie.Both of them nodded."Brock,me,Serena and Bonnie will distract team rocket.You get Pikachu."Ash whispered to Brock.Brock nodded.Then Ash,Serena and Bonnie said Team R's dialogue:
Ash-Prepare for something quotable
Serena-For we won't mumble
Ash-To protect the world for utter boredom
Serena-To make team rocket shun
Ash-To tell team rocket how boring they are
Serena-To show them that winning against us is simply bizarre
Ash-Ash
Serena-Serena
Ash-Team Ash err -stops and looks at the others who are glaring at him-um Team Assereniekabro -looks at the others who are looking at him strangely-Oh man,Team Pokemon blast bad people off at the speed of light
Serena-Seeing you blast off is a sorry sight
Bonnie-That's partly right!
"They were terrible.They copied our steps but they honestly messed up the dialogue."James said."Messed up huh?You're the ones who messed up."Ash said,pointing towards Brock as he stood beside him with Pikachu's cage."WHAT?MEWOTH,I TOLD YOU TO KEEP AND EYE ON THAT!"Jessie said."I had to look at how they messed up the dialogue."Meowth said."Well,I guess we're the ones who are messed up now."James said."You bet!Pikachu,thunder bolt!"Ash said.Team Rocket yelled,while blasting off,"We have failed once more!"Serena frowned and said,"That was easy."Bonnie jumped and said,"That was fun!"Ash nodded and Brock said,"I must applaud you.That was great!"
The gang then went to sleep.In the morning after meeting Brock's dad,the gang set off again to Cerulean city,site of Serena's first showcase in the Kanto region.
