4. Waltz for a Memory

54 5 1

Erratic heartbeats in erratic hearts,
spinning words in a spinning world,
Dancers twirling, madness smiling,
Sends the tornado through the ceiling.

Sliding rhythms for music sliding,
Whispering winds through a windless morning,
One more step to another step,
And the dancing falls to a mindless prancing.

Frozen roads in cities frozen,
Paths forgotten in pasts forgot,
Ruined worlds with crumbling ruins,
And "once upon a time" is falling.

Hollow pity in my mind,
A dance in code and dangling vines,
The memories I won't quite forget,
and leaving all that once was mine.

Because my friends used to call me Paul as a nickname. No idea why, really.
