9. Absolute Zero

Snake-like fingers, writhing cold,
Rivers frozen, tales untold,
Legends from the days of yore,
Wars but no one's keeping score.

Spirals twirling, swirling ice,
Living frostbite, endless vice,
Dancer's feet are bound to fall,
Wingless bird can't clear the wall.

Makeshift buildings, hidden lies,
Fences crumbling, all are wise,
Selfish creatures roam the earth,
No one knows what we are worth.

Winter forest, whispered singing,
Lovely liar, heartbeat ringing,
Fall in love amidst the storm,
see if we can still keep warm.

Swaying music, absent minds,
Blissful sleep, sleeping blinds,
Long-lost words are in our way,
blizzard's not yet gone away.

A frozen era absolute,
the truth is far too harsh to use.
