Class Again

The class is odd, as all creative writing rooms are
People talk, the room fills with laughter
Poems, stories, wonderful tales of betrayal
Some of which are true

I watch, and laugh along
As Gavin slowly sinks lower in his chair
We start to share our works
Most are not appropriate

Typing, writing
Everything is a blur
Soon it goes quiet.
I look up surprised
It doesn't get quiet in creative writing.

The class is staring at the teacher
Who is staring at the door
Where a freshman is kissing
Another freshman.

Slowly, quietly
He sneaks to the door.
The class is silent
everyone is grinning.

I watch and hold back a laugh.
The teacher is very close now
The couple doesn't suspect anything.
He raises his hands

SMACK
The palm of his hands connect with the door
The whole class jumps in unison at the sound
The couple break apart quickly as the girl lets out a yelp.

The teacher grins and turns back to the class
We wait patiently like pets waiting for a treat.
He smirks and sits on the stool in front of the class.
He chuckles to himself.

"That's why you don't make out in the halls"
