Chapter 06

Hey doods sorry I take all year to post 👏🏽

As I got out of the car I opened the door so rain could get out she was cold so I gave her my jacket and we walked into the café everything was as expected Ethan the bus boy cleaned tables from previous customer my coworker Angela made coffee for them and my boss well lets just say she took a good nap. Everything seemed calm like usual Stephen and rain sat down and I got my apron on and brought them some cookies and coffee for Stephen and lemonade for rain She for some reason loved lemonade at anytime of the day even if she was just waking up she'd ask for lemonade it's quite cute actually "can I go to the bathroom?" Rain asked as she looked at me nervously like she didn't wanna go alone "yea it's right over there" I said pointing to the bathrooms female to be exact she looked at me funny and frowned I got the hint "i'll go stand by the door for you ok?" I mumbled still tired "yay" she exclaimed loudly making me cringe from how loud she was Stephen was just watching this laughing to himself when I gave him a glare he stopped then put his hand up in defense like a child being caught stealing cookies "ya know it's creepy how you got into my house " I said looking at him "oh whatever it wasn't hard next time don't leave a key under the door mat" I laughed because that means he looked for the key "yeah whatever" replied rolling my tired eyes "come on" rain said getting my attention "ok ok" I said walking to the restroom with her.

After all that I got back to regular work more people came in and out one lady almost left her cellphone here so I had to run and give it too her which I'm out of shape so you get the gist of it anyway Stephen eventually took rain to the park which he had a day off so I don't know why he choose to spend it with us but whatever "maybe he's a loner" I thought to myself when I heard a voice that sounded too similar say "can I get a black coffee and a cookie" I looked up and it was my stupid ex I hated his guts but I decided to be petty and pretend I didn't know him "coming right up sir" I said looking at him then going to get his stupid black coffee and cookie once I returned to him to get the money and give him his order he finally realized who I was and had a stupid smirk on his face "so babygirl still working here huh" he said seductively I glared at him wanting to throw this coffee in his face "yep and I'm not your babygirl thank you sir your total is $5.79" I said he just smirked and handed me a 10 dollar bill I gave him his change and the last thing he said to me was "glad your still sexy as ever" I swear to holy macaroni I was about to choke him to death I just smiled and flipped him off and went back to work.

Stephen eventually came with rain and they looked happy I smiled at them and gave rain a hug "what did you guys do all day?" I said "oh nothing" they both said at the same time sounding like they were up to no good I just shrugged it off to tired to even think about it after we all hopped into my car and went to my place since Stephen's car was there we just went straight there as soon as I got on the couch I fell asleep forgetting about Stephen or anything I woke up about a hour later to giggling from rain and chuckles from Stephen I opened my eyes ready to kill and there was the beautiful rat named Stephen and the cutest little girl standing infront of me I groaned and looked at them "what are you doing let me sleep" I said a angrily "nothing go back to sleep I'm staying here tonight" said Stephen I looked at him like he was crazy "wtf you mean" I said

He relied on a duh tone I just got off the couch and went to get rain her clothes to sleep in in and some covers for us and turned on the TV after rain got comfortable Stephen was for some unknown reason already in pjs and I don't even know what's wrong with him but he still looks a beautiful as ever anyway we started watching tv at 11 and got done at 2 am rain was asleep and Stephen was nearly asleep and I well I had to get Rain into her room and Stephen a blanket and then me tell you rain was quite heavy.
