"THEN WHY DON'T YOU WANT TO be with him?" Lily asked as they sat by the Black Lake.

"The thing is, I'm not really staying here," Roxanne admitted making Lily's eyes to widen, "I don't know when but I need to."

"Oh"

"Yeah," she sighed.

"You only live once, right?" Lily asked rhetorically, still, Roxanne nodded. "Why not make the most of it?"

"If I do, it'll probably just lead to an endless spiral of depression and heartache. . . And I just can't handle that." She whispered, "I can't handle being broken. . . I'm not brave enough."

Lily nodded, "I know what you mean."

"How?"

"I had a friend once, I guess I kinda like him at some point. Mostly because he was the only one that understood me, you know? Like throughout my childhood I didn't understand what was happening with me, then he came along. He was like me too, and soon we were just two misfits conquering the world together," she smiled wistfully, "then it just changed, he changed and not for the better if I'm being honest. I was so afraid for him, I tried steering him on the right track until he was in far too deep for me to pull out. I lost him. . ." A stray tear fell out the ginger's eye as she stared fondly at the lake, the memory replaying in her mind as it taunted her of who he was. How she couldn't save him of what he became. "I don't want that to happen to you and James, you might lose him but atleast you tried, right? Wherever you're going I'm sure you guys can still keep in touch and if you don't, then there are other people out there. . . It may be risky but who knows? You might be passing out something worth hurting for."

It pained Roxanne about what Lily said, the girl was oblivious of who it was yet by the tone Lily used, he really cared for him. And as for James, she didn't know why but it felt like a knife was piercing through her heart by the advice Lily gave. They can't work it out, they can't keep in touch, they can't be together. But still. . . He might be worth hurting for.

FOR THE PAST FEW DAYS, Lily and Roxanne had been great friends. The both of them being supportive of the other with everything they do and helped each other a lot in terms of academics.

"You know Rox," Sirius said while they were walking to Potions, one of the only classes they shared, along with Divination and Defense Against the Dark Arts, "you've been spending a lot of time with Lily and her friends."

"Is that a problem, Siri?"

"Not at all, Rox," he smiled, "I just feel like the five of us haven't been spending enough time with each other, that's all."

"Sirius I practically haven't left you guys' side except when I go to the library, and sometimes Remy's there with me."

"You know what I mean, Rox," Sirius deadpanned.

"Oh you're so serious, Sirius," she smirked as the three guys laughed.

"Do you want to go to the sleepover or not?"

"Never thought I'd see that day you'd say 'sleepover', Siri."

"And I swear it'll be the last time you will," Sirius sighed.

"Oh it's not that bad, Siri," said Roxanne, patting his shoulder while balancing her books on her free hand, "if it makes you feel any better I haven't been on a sleepover."

"What!? Roxy are you even a girl?" James said in disbelief.

"Is it that shocking?"

"Well yes," Remus shrugged.

"Kinda," whispered Peter.

"Geez, I didn't know sleepovers were a requirement to become a girl." She rolled her eyes, balancing her books on her arms. James saw her struggle before scooping up her books to his arm, carrying it for her. "Thanks, Jameson."

"No problem, Roxy," he smiled down at her as she did so too. Her blue eyes staring back to his hazel ones.

"Will the two of you stop eye-fucking each other?" Sirius said, abruptly making the two look down, hiding their crimson faces. Remus smacked his arm as Sirius cried out in pain. "What did I do?"

"Everything"

"Now, now Moony, I haven't even done Rox yet." He said, earning a smack by both Remus and Roxanne. James could've had as well if it wasn't for the books on his hands.

"There is no yet, Siri," Roxanne scolded, "why are we even friends with you?"

"Why not? I'm Sirius Black," he said rubbing his right arm, the one Roxanne hit. "So are you up for the sleepover?"

"As long as you keep your innuendos to yourself then yes."

ROXANNE STOOD AT THE BACK of the boys as Sirius whispered the password to the Fat Lady.

"Everything here seems so real, to be honest," Roxanne sighed, "like everything is just like what's back in my dimension, apart from the moving stairs though. . . Didn't know what JK was thinking when she added that feature."

"Well, Roxy I'd kill to be in your dimension," James groaned, "these bloody stairs are such a pain in the arse."

"Well it's good exercise for Wormy here," Sirius gestured to the timid boy.

Peter shook his head, "it's a nightmare to be honest."

"Besides, Petey here is okay just the way he is." Roxanne grinned.

"Thank you!" Peter let out an exasperated breath, as if to prove his point.

"No problem, Petey."
