ROXANNE DIDN'T MIND the weird note all that much, thinking it was probably someone who wanted to prank her.

So during breakfast she acted as normal as she can be. . . She sat next to Peter who was busily eating bacon and eggs as she waited for James.

Being his girlfriend, Roxanne noticed a couple of things about him. Like the way he was late at breakfast or lunch. It made her suspicious, though she never addressed the matter to him in fear she might come out as what her friends from the other dimension would say, clingy.

"Petey, do you know where James and Sirius are?" She asked.

Peter abruptly stopped eating before swallowing the food down, "probably pranking the Slytherins, that's what they usually do."

Roxanne aimlessly nodded her head as she began picking on her food. Sighing, Remus noticed how the girl felt. He quickly closed the book he was reading before keeping the girl company.

"Don't worry about them Rox, they're fine." He assured her causing Roxanne to smile lightly at him. "Is there something else bothering you?"

"Why'd you ask?"

"You've been looking extremely tense, and I know it's not just about James." Remus explained, "It's okay Rox, you can tell me anything."

"It's just the upcoming Quidditch match," she lied, "I'm just worried, that's all."

Something inside her felt guilty for lying straight to her friend's face but she couldn't help it. She doesn't want to look helpless or scared, instead she covered it all up with a cool facade.

"No need to worry about that," Remus shrugged nonchalantly, "the protective gears are there for a reason."

"I guess you're right, Remy," she flashed him a smile as he did so too.

The doors burst open and in came Sirius and James walking side by side like they own the whole Great Hall. Roxanne turned to Remus who held a smirk at her, as if to say 'i told you so'.

James sat next to her, automatically wrapping his arm around her shoulders as usual. A piece of cloth on his other hand as he grinned proudly at Roxanne.

"Good morning, love," he said as he kissed her cheek.

"Good morning, Jameson," Roxanne grinned, a huge wave of relief going through her.

"So, today is the first match of the season and as my girlfriend, I want you to wear this," he held out a Quidditch Jersey. On the back it said, Potter 05.

"Sure, Jameson," Roxanne took the piece of fabric from his hands, "wouldn't want to let my boyfriend down."

"Boyfriend," James mused, "I like the sound of that."

"AND HERE COMES POTTER passing the quaffle back to Johnson who zoomed pass Flint and scored it straight through the Slytherin keeper," Hazel exclaimed through the mic, "it seems like a close win for both teams as both seekers go neck in neck for the golden snitch."

"Go Jameson!" Roxanne cheered with the Gryffindors, Peter and Remus sitting by her side as she bellowed her support for her boyfriend.

The shirt hung loosely on her body as her hand continued flailing through the air every time Gryffindor would score.

"I think you're overdoing it, Rox," Remus commented from beside her.

"Oh nonsense, Remy," she tutted, "I am just here to show some school spirit and support a bloody quidditch team other than Hufflepuff for once."

"Do you play?" Peter piped up.

"I play Keeper back home," Roxanne shrugged, plopping down the seat in between the two.

"To be honest," Remus said, "I kind of imagine you being a Chaser like James."

"Too bad," Roxanne snorted, "I'm a Keeper."

"Oh fuck off, Rox," Remus grimaced at the blonde's horrendous pun, "horrible. . . Absolutely horrible."

"AND SHE CAUGHT THE SNITCH! GRYFFINDOR WINS!"

Loud animal-like roars erupted from all around the three as they began to scream as loud as they can. Roxanne hurriedly pulled Peter and Remus out the bleachers to see James.

Once they were finally on the field, Roxanne couldn't help but run towards him and engulf him in a hug.

"You were great out there," she whispered.

James chuckled, "that's why I'm the best." Roxanne rolled her eyes.

"The humility, it's too much," she muttered sarcastically. She pulled away from the hug as she smiled at her boyfriend.

"Hey," someone interrupted. The couple turned their heads to the voice only to see Sirius there with a pout, "I'm part of the team too, where's my hug?"

Roxanne rolled her eyes before hugging him as well, "damn Sirius, you stink."

"I will see you guys, later," he said, striding off to the shower room.

James walked towards her with a smile before she stopped him, "you too, Jameson."

He pouted and huffed, "you didn't complain before."

Roxanne snorted, "just go to the showers, Jameson."

"Will you come with me?"

"No"

LATER THAT NIGHT, as Roxanne prepared to bed, she was reading her Divination book when she saw yet another crumpled piece of parchment. Only this time, it was placed next to her pillow.

Curious, she quietly approached it and picked it up. Like before, she carefully uncrumpled the paper. And there, in bold ink were the words;

He's lying.
